Jessy Hodges was born in Huntington Woods, Michigan USA, on 8 August 1986, and is a popular actress, possibly best known for playing Sophie Parker in the “Anyone But Me” web series.
Early life and education
Jessy prefers to keep her personal matters to herself, and has shared very little regarding her early life with the public. She grew up her mother, Ellen Sandweiss, who was an actress and who was the biggest influence on Jessy – following her footsteps, Jessy went on to pursue a career in acting as well.
Jessy was somewhat popular in Berkley High School thanks to her attractive looks, and her mother who was already an established actress – although many other girls in school wanted to become actresses as well, Jessy didn;t let this discourage her, and tried even harder to make her dreams come true. After matriculation, she enrolled at the New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in drama.
Career as an actress
Jessy started acting in theatre, and has on several occasions admitted that theatre makes her feel better than acting in movies and TV series.
She’s appeared in several popular plays over the years, including “The Metal Children” performed at the Vineyard Theatre, “The Great Recession” at the Flea Theatre in New York, “Misery and Good Fortune” at HERE Arts, and “Gilgamesh’s Game”. Jessy made her debut appearance in a TV series in 2005, in “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” – she appeared only in the second episode of the 14th season. Jessy then appeared alongside her mother in the “Satan’s Playground” horror movie in 2006.
She went on to play Melanie Morelli in the “Hindsight” TV series in 2015 and then played Erin in the “Enlisted” TV series in the same year.
