Devan was raised in California alongside his older brother Collins by their parents Steven Key, a real estate agent, and Anne Key, a writer.
Collins is two years older than Devan and it was initially Collins’ idea to launch a YouTube channel, and start creating comedy content, while Devan followed in his brother’s footsteps, and was often featured in his brother’s videos before launching his own channel, but almost instantly giving up on running it. Devan attended a public high school in California, where he played football and soccer, thus his muscular body, and after matriculation focused on his career as an actor, and just as his brother he didn’t enroll at college.
