Early life and education

Grey spent the first three years of his childhood in Bloomington, before his family moved to live in Boulder, Colorado. He is a single child, and was raised by his mother, an artist, and his father, a business owner who spent most of his time away from home.

Grey became interested in acting thanks to his mother who was always very artistic, and who spent most of her free time in theatre watching plays and taking Grey with her. As Grey has stated in an interview ‘I owe my love of it to her. If she didn’t drag me to small community workshops when I was a wee little lad or exposed me to anything artistic for that matter, I wouldn’t be who I am today.’

Grey attended a high school in Boulder before enrolling at Denver Center for the Performing Arts, where he won his first role in “A Christmas Carol” in 2009.

Career as an actor

Grey has appeared in only a couple of movies over the years making his debut film appearance in “The Devil Within” in 2010, before being cast to portray Chris Rodriguez in the “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters” adventure family fantasy film in 2013, which follows Percy and his friends as they try to restore their dying safe heaven and find the mythical Golden Fleece. In the same year, Grey played Young Joe Doucett in “Oldboy”, while his two latest roles have been in “Sex Guaranteed” in 2017 and “The Possession of Hannah Grace” in 2018.

Grey is more popular for his appearances in TV series – some of his first roles were in “90210” in 2009, “Greek” and “10 Things I Hate About You” both in 2010, appearing in a single episode of all of these. Grey is not a fan of reality TV but rather prefers watching sports, movies, and TV series with some of his favorite actors and actresses being Al Pacino, Christian Bale, and Cate Blanchett, and their movies “Scarface”, “The Dark Knight”, and “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”. He also enjoys going to the theatre with his mother, continuing what he’s been doing since he was a kid.

Grey is physically very active, and played football while he was attending high school, and although he was planning to continue with football at college, he never enrolled and thus stopped playing. Today, he has several training sessions at the gym, with an intensity only depending on the requirements of the movies and TV series he’s appearing in.
