Ajiona Alexus was born in Tuskegee, Alabama USA, on 16 March 1996, so under the zodiac sign of Pisces and holding American nationality – she came into the spotlight after winning the role of Sheri in the “13 Reasons Why” Netflix show, which became a hit.
Childhood and school
Ajiona is very secretive when it comes to her family and hasn’t shared any details regarding her parents, except that her father’s name is Ernest and that he has a Management Company, as she doesn’t want them involved in the media, but she still occasionally uploads pictures with her parents onto her Instagram account. Ajiona’s career was launched in 2012 when she won the role of De’Anna in “The Rickey Smiley Show” TV series – it was also her first main role, and she went on to appear in 24 episodes through 2014. Gaining recognition, Ajiona then won the role of Chelsea Mason in the “Chelsea’s Way” miniseries shot in 2013, which led to her being cast in her first movie, as Tyra in “Unspoken Words” in 2014. She went on to appear in two movies in 2015 entitled “Sons 2: The Grave” and “My First Love”, while simultaneously shooting for the TV series’ “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Code Black” .
She next played Ruth Quinn Robinson in “Bad Girl” in 2016, and appeared in nine episodes as Teenage Loretha AKA Cookie Lyon in the “Empire” TV series in 2016 and 2017. She was selected to play Sheri Holland in “13 Reasons Why” in 2017- 18, and this is the role which helped Ajiona gain worldwide recognition. She concurrently also worked on the “Runaways” TV series,in 2018, in the recurring role of Livvie.

During her interview with “JustJaredJr” in June 2018, Ajiona mentioned that she went on a date with a boy who rented an entire movie theatre just so she could watch a movie in peace without any disturbance. Not only that, but he found out what her favorite movie was and had that played for them – the movie in question is “The Incredibles”. It ‘ unknown whether the two’s date turned into a relationship, and if yes, how long they were together.
In August 2018, Ajiona uploaded a couple of pictures with the popular musician Hobbz onto her Instagram account, and as Hobbz referred to Ajiona as ‘his girl’, the two were believed to be in a relationship, however, Ajiona later explained that the two were only very close friends.
