Ajiona hasn’t talked about having any siblings either, which is why people believe her to be an only child. She spent only three years of her childhood in Tuskegee as her family moved to Birmingham in 1999.

Although born into a family of people who are part of the music industry, Ajiona rather chose acting as her career – as her parents found out about her passion, they enrolled her into acting classes which Ajiona has been taking to this day. She was somewhat popular during the years she spent at high school, thanks to her attractive looks and her involvement in acting, however, it is not known if she dated anyone during those four years.

After she matriculated, Ajiona enrolled at the Alabama School of Fine Arts, Theatre Arts and is still studying there.

Ajiona’s acting career

Ajiona’s career was launched in 2012 when she won the role of De’Anna in “The Rickey Smiley Show” TV series – it was also her first main role, and she went on to appear in a total of 24 episodes until 2014. Gaining recognition, Ajiona then won herself the role of Chelsea Mason in the “Chelsea’s Way” miniseries shot in 2013 – this led her being cast in her first movie, as Tyra in “Unspoken Words” in 2014. She went on to appear in two movies in 2015 entitled “Sons 2: The Grave” and “My First Love”, while simultaneously shooting for “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Code Black” TV series.

She played Ruth Quinn Robinson in the “Bad Girl” in 2016, and appeared in nine episodes as Teenage Loretha AKA Cookie Lyon in the “Empire” TV series in 2016 and 2017. She was selected to play Sheri Holland in “13 Reasons Why” in 2017, and this is the role which helped Ajiona gain worldwide recognition – she has appeared in a total of 18 episodes, and is still filming for the series. She is currently also working on the “Runaways” TV series, in which she has a recurring role as Livvie.

Some of the other movies and TV series Ajiona has appeared in this decade include “Light as a Feather” TV series 2018, “Something Like Summer” movie (2017), and three movies in 2018 – “Family Blood”, “Acrimony”, and “Breaking In”.

Love life and relationships

Ajiona is somewhat secretive when it comes to her love life but has still shared a couple of details regarding some dates she went on.

During her interview with “JustJaredJr” in June 2018, Ajiona mentioned that she went on a date with a boy who rented an entire movie theatre just so she could watch a movie in peace without any disturbance. Not only that, but he found out what her favorite movie was and had that played for them – the movie in question is “The Incredibles”. It is not known whether the two’s date turned into a relationship, and if yes, how long they were together.

In August 2018, Ajiona uploaded a couple of pictures with the popular musician Hobbz onto her Instagram account, and as Hobbz referred to Ajiona as ‘his girl’, the two were believed to be in a relationship, however, Ajiona later explained that the two were only very close friends.

Judging by her posts on her accounts on several social media networks, Ajiona currently seems to be single, hasn’t married, and doesn’t have any kids.

Ajiona might appear to be completely focused on her career of an actress, but there are numerous other things she enjoys doing in her free time.
