Aislinn Derbez is a famed Mexican actress, model, and social media personality who has appeared in several Mexican TV series and films including “The House of Flowers” and “Miss Bala.”
Age, Early Life, and Educational Background
Derbez was born Aislinn González Michel under the Pisces zodiac sign on 18 March 1987, in Mexico City, Mexico, which makes her 36 years old as of 2023. She’s the daughter of Eugenio Derbez, who is one of the most popular and influential comedians and actors in Mexico, and the actress Gabriela Michel. Aislinnspent her childhood in Mexico City, and grew up interested in modeling, so beginning her professional career when she was 15, and was active in her high school’s drama club. After her matriculation, Derbez joined the School of Visual Arts in New York City in 2005, and later transferred to Actors Studio, which is situated in the same city, graduating from the latter in 2009. Derbez was schoolmates (at Actors Studio) with the Grammy Award-winning American filmmaker and actor, Bradley Cooper, who is known for his appearance in “The Hangover.”
Acting Career
Derbez made her film debut in the 2008 short, “Served Cold.” She went on to play minor roles in several other films, and in 2010, she was cast as Brenda in six episodes of the TV show “Niñas Mal.” Subsequently, Derbez appeared in six episodes of the Mexican TV comedy series “Los Heroes del Norte” in 2012, and in the year that followed, she portrayed Giovanna in four episodes of the teen drama “Gossip Girl: Acapulco,” which is based on the American TV series “Gossip Girl.” 2015 saw Derbez star alongside Flavio Medina in the Mexican drama film “Being or Not Being.”
In 2018, Aislinn began portraying Elena de la Mora in the Mexican black comedy-drama “The House of Flowers,” which follows a wealthy and dysfunctional Mexican family that runs a struggling cabaret and an upscale floristry shop, sharing the screen with Manolo Caro, Paco Leon and Cecilia Suarez.
Aislinn began voicing Isabela in the American adult animated TV series “Seis Manos” in 2019 and in the same year, she was cast in the action thriller film “Miss Bala.” Some of Derbez’s following noteworthy works were in the animated film “Back to the Outback” and the comedy-drama film “The House of Flowers: The Movie” both in 2021.

Derbez is a divorced woman. She met the Mexican actor, Mauricio Ochmann, who is perhaps best known for his appearances in “That’s Life,” “Latino Green,” and “Message in a Bottle”, on the set of the romantic comedy film “A La Mala” in mid-2014. They started dating shortly afterwards, and eventually walked the aisle in May 2016. Three months before their marriage, Derbez and her husband welcomed a daughter named Kailani Ochmann. Derbez and Ochmann’s marriage culminated in a divorce in 2020, but the duo remained close to raise their daughter together.
