Early life and education

Zach was raised in Montpelier by his mother Andrea who was born in 1963, and his father Daniel Roerig who was born in 1961. and who died in 2007 from a heart attack. Zach has one younger sister named Emily, born in 1989.

After finishing elementary school, Zach enrolled at the Barbizon Modeling and Acting School located in Cleveland, and his participation at the International Modeling and Talent Association led to him signing his first contract with his late talent manager. He went on to attend Montpelier High School where he was physically very active, playing football and wrestling, and at the same time working at Fackler Monuments owned by his father and grandfather, where he helped them make gravestones.

Career as an actor

Zach made his debut film appearance playing Jason Matthews in the “Flutter Kick” short film in 2005, and in 2007 portrayed Teenage Joe in the “Tie a Yellow Ribbon” award winning film. The year 2008 saw him play Matt Mullen in “Assassination of a High School President”, Adam in “Dear Me”, and The American Soldier in “Official Selection”.

He then took a break from movies for six years, before winning the role of Jack Stanard in the “Field of Lost Shoes” war drama film in 2014, and in 2016 appearing as Edward Wehling in the “2BR02b” short film.
