Who is Jazz Raycole?
American actress and dancer Jazzmine Raycole ‘Jazz’ Dillingham was born in Stockton, California USA, on 11 February 1988, making Aquarius her zodiac sign. She has 45 acting credits and is perhaps known best for playing Izzy Letts in all 20 episodes of the crime mystery series “The Lincoln Lawyer”, which stars Becki Newton and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, was created by David E. Kelley and Ted Humphrey, and has been airing since 2022. Based on the novels by Michael Connelly, the series follows a lawyer who works out of the back of his Lincoln car, and it’s been nominated for only a single award.
Jazz is currently shooting for the upcoming movie “Searching”, as well as for new episodes of “The Lincoln Lawyer”.
Education and early life
Jazz was raised in Stockton as an only child by her mother Claudia Dillingham who was the owner of a dance studio, and father Ray who was a water company superintendent.
She fell in love with dancing at a very early age, and was taught by Barbara Faulkner and her mother; Jazz was only four when she began dancing competitively, and was 13 when she joined the Boston Ballet in 2001.
She was seven when she had her first acting credit, voicing Puppy in the hit 1995 family comedy movie “Babe”, which starred Magda Szubanski and James Cromwell, and was written and directed by Chris Noonan. It follows pig Babe as it’s learning to herd sheep, and the movie won 20 of its 46 award nominations, including an Oscar win for Best Effects, Visual Effects.
Jazz was homeschooled by her mother, as she wanted to pursue her acting and dancing careers; she completed her GED tests in 2006 and then didn’t enroll at college.
Roles in movies
In 1995, Jazz played Onika in the romantic comedy “Waiting to Exhale”, which starred Angela Bassett and Whitney Houston, and was directed by Forest Whitaker. It follows the love lives of four African-American women, and the movie won nine of its 19 award nominations.
Jazz had no other movie roles in the ‘90s, and her next appearance was in the 2010 short drama “Prominare”. In 2011, she played Hillary King in the comedy “Brave New World”, which starred Anna Popplewell and Nicholas Braun, and was directed by Michael Patrick Jann; it follows the lives of several hippies.
The year 2014 saw Jazz portray Eve in the family drama “A Lesson in Romance”, which starred Scott Grimes and Kristy Swanson, and was directed by Ron Oliver; it follows twins who’ve enrolled at college, while their parents have now joined them, too.

Jazz’s debut TV series role was playing Sierra in an episode of the 1997 comedy “The Parent ‘Hood”, and the remainder of the ‘90s saw her appear in an episode of various series, including the romantic comedy “Ellen”, the family comedy “Smart Guy”, and the comedy “The Jamie Foxx Show”.
From 2000 through 2002, she played Claire Kyle in 12 episodes of the family comedy “My Wife and Kids”, which starred Tisha Campbell and Damon Wayans, and was created by Don Reo; it follows Michael Kyle who wants to lead a traditional life, but his modern family’s making it impossible, and the series won 11 of its 47 award nominations. The producers of the series decided that they wanted someone older than Jazz for her role, and she was thus replaced by popular American actress Jennifer Nicole Freeman.
Jazz was then cast to appear in an episode of the crime mystery “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”, the family sports drama “Clubhouse” and the crime comedy “Monk”, and from 2006 through 2008, she played Allison Hawkins in 14 episodes of the popular action mystery “Jericho”, which starred Lennie James and Skeet Ulrich, and was created by Josh Schaer and Stephen Chbosky. It follows lives of people from Denver, Colorado now that their city’s been covered in a mysterious mushroom cloud; the series won one of its seven award nominations.
The first half of the 2010s saw Jazz make a guest appearance in an episode of the romantic comedy “New Girl”, the family comedy “The Secret Life of the American Teenager”, and the crime mystery “Perception”. In 2017 and 2018, she played Sydney Fletcher in the romantic drama “The Quad”, which starred Peyton ‘Alex’ Smith and Anika Noni Rose, and was created by Charles Holland and Felicia D. Henderson; it follows the life of Dr. Eva Fletcher, president of the historically black University Georgia A&M.
Jazz has since appeared in only two TV series, playing Winnie in four episodes of the 2019 romantic musical comedy “I Ship It”, and Sage in three episodes of the 2020 drama “Council of Dads”.
Other credits
Jazz sang the song “Put Yourself First” in the 2016 episode “I’m Back at Camp with Josh!” of the musical comedy series “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”.
She was featured in the 2017 TV special “ABFF Honors”.

It’s widely believed that Jazz and Guillermo have been together for more than 15 years now, as various sources have reported that they went on their first date in 2007, but this hasn’t been confirmed by the two; they kept the relationship a secret until 4 January 2020, when Jazz wrote about it in the caption of one of her Instagram pictures.
Guillermo avoids social media networks, but can still be seen featured in some of Jazz’s Instagram pictures.
There are no other men whom she’s perhaps dated, that we know about; Jazz is in a long-term relationship with Guillermo Martinez as of July 2023, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.
