Early life and family
Zuri Hall was born on 2 June 1988, in Toledo, Ohio USA, so under the sign of Gemini, and holding American nationality. Little is known about her family, though she once shared a photo of her father, congratulating him on Father’s Day, and also mentioned she had two older brothers. Her mother’s name is Valensia Hall – she has recently turned 60, and Zuri shared their mutual photo on her Instagram account, congratulating her mother on her birthday and thanking her for all the love and support she gave her.
Zuri matriculated from her local high school in Ohio in 2006, enrolling at Ohio State University, being a four-year Morrill Scholar, and graduating in 2010 with a BA in Strategic Communication. She also got her minor in Theatre, and was an active member of Ohio Union Television and the Black Student Theatre Network. While at university, Zuri gave her all to sports, as she was a passionate fan of soccer, basketball and cheerleading.

Zuri started her reporting career in the friendly team of MTV, as she began working there as the host of several aftershows, and the reality game series “The Challenge”, which was a real hit back in the day.
Being unable to abandon her love for sports, she also participated in covering the Indiana Pacers’ games at home from 2010 to 2011, holding the position of the official MC. From 2011 to 2012 she reported from several NBA matches, at the same time being the MC for the 2011 Big Ten Tournament, the WNBA Indiana Fever, and many other events. From 2011 to 2013 Zuri was invited to host such events as the NCAA Women’s Final Four annual tournament, and NCAA Tourney Town in Indianapolis (2011), Denver (2012), and Nashville (2013). Zuri also held the position of the official MC at the Super Bowl Village in 2012, when Indianapolis hosted the Super Bowl XLVI for 10 days in a row.
Later in 2012, Zuri acted as a guest correspondent at the R&B and hip-hop music video show, which was broadcast on BET International network. She also worked as a co-host at the music countdown show “Trending 10”, aired on Fuse TV at the beginning in 2013.
Getting to E! News
Getting the position of the new host on MyINDY-TV in 2010, Zuri kept on covering various social events going on in Indianapolis. Quitting the channel in 2013, she joined WNDY-TV and proceeded covering various events, interviewing celebrities and the guests of those events. However, her major achievement was getting on the E! News channel in 2015. As of 2019, she is hosting the “What’s Good with Zuri Hall” program, and “What the Fashion” along with Justin Martindale and Morgan Stewart.
In 2017 Zuri’s work with her team helped the channel to get nominated for the Daytime Emmy Award in the category “Outstanding Entertainment News Program”. When Zuri was 24 she started a relationship with Dutch soccer player Mettin Copier – the couple met in Ohio at a soccer games. They started dating in 2012, being together for four years and then maintaining their relationship on a long distance for two more years and a half, eventually splitting in April 2018.
While still in a relationship, they shared a YouTube channel called “Zuri and Mettin”, on which they uploaded videos talking about their relationship and the difficulties they had to face being an interracial couple. The channel attracted around 33,000 subscribers, but was eventually abandoned as the couple split.
In April 2018 Zuri posted the video in which she talked about her separation from Mettin, though not sharing the reason for their break-up, which was quite painful for Zuri. She even asked Oprah when she interviewed her on the Red Carpet, what she would advise her as a fresh single.
