Early life, family, educational background
Actor Logan Shroyer was born on 10 March 1999, in Torrance, California USA, but grew-up in Norman, Oklahoma US. According to his interview with justjared.com, he never felt that he fitted in there, and his friends jokingly nicknamed him “Hollywood.” His family moved to South Bay, Los Angeles, where he spent most of his time surfing in the Redondo and Hermosa beaches with his dad. He has two younger brothers but hasn’t disclosed their names. His mother’s name is Lexi Shroyer.
At the tender age of 12, he started taking classes in acting in Los Angeles, studying at the Anthony Meindl Acting Workshop, Gary Spatz’s The Playground and Stuart Roger’s Studios.
He attended the Groundlings’ improv comedy classes, and then later went to study improv comedy at The BGB Studio, mentored by Robert Martin Jr. and Gayla Goehl.

Logan began acting at a very young age, when he was cast as the main actor in numerous commercials, booking endorsement work for elite brands such as Saint Laurent and Valentino. Print commercials he has appeared in include Baxter Pharmaceutical-Adynovate, Nordstrom and Schawk Kmart. Video commercials under his work history include Star Wars Dagadar Monopoly, Gary Spatz’s The Playground, and Max Steel Mattel.
In 2013, he was cast in the television movie “Westside” as a young Chris, his first television role that wasn’t for a commercial. Later that year he landed a recurring role as Cole Campbell in “The Thundermans,” a comedy television series, play the part over a year before moving on to other roles. In 2014 he was cast as the Golden-Eyed Boy in “Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street” working alongside Drew Justice, and receiving great recognition for his performance.
In 2016, Logan was announced as the actor to play teenage Kevin Pearson in the popular family comedy-drama television series “This Is Us.” This is the role he is best known for, but ironically, he almost missed his audition for it.
At the last minute, he decided to cancel his dentist appointment, and attended the audition just before it wrapped up. The NBC representatives liked Logan so much that he was cast without having to do another audition.
“This is Us” was created by Dan Fogelman, and produced by 20th Century Fox, Zaftig Films and Rhode Island Ave. Productions. Since the start of the show, Elizabeth Berger, Isaac Aptaker and Dan Fogelman have been showrunners. On 20 September 2016, NBC premiered the pilot, and the next day picked-up the series for a full season of 18 episodes. In January 2017, NBC renewed the series for two more seasons, both consisting of 18 episodes.
Season two premiered on 26 September 2017 and season three premiered on 25 September 2018. On 12 May 2019, NBC once again renewed the series, this time for three additional seasons. Season four premiered on 24 September 2019, and like its predecessors, it contained 18 episodes.
The series follows Jack and Rebecca Pearson and their three children, Kevin, Kate and Randall through different timelines. The show is filmed in Los Angeles and has an impressive cast including Mandy Moore, Susan Kelechi Watson, Ron Cephas Jones and Sterling K. Brown.
Nominations for the series include Best Drama Series at the seventh annual Critics’ Choice Awards, Best Television Series – Drama at the 74th annual “Golden Globe Awards.” By the American Film Institute, it was listed under the Top Television Programs. The most substantial recognition was in 2017 when it received 10 Emmy nominations, one of which was for Outstanding Drama Series.
In 2017, Logan was cast in a few independent movies, including the comedy, “F*&% the Prom,” the drama-comedy “Speech and Debate”, and “Camp Cool Kids.” That same year, he also appeared in the short horror film “Speechless”, and a remake of “The Relic.”
In 2018, he appeared in “One Year Later” and “The Dying Game,” both of which are short films.

Since the age of 15, he has been the guitarist of “Liquid Glass,” an alternative-rock band. He performs live with the band whenever his filming schedule allows him to.
He is the co-owner and a producer of Brewing Imagination Films, a production company. He is qualified as a producer – his first project was when he was 15.

In 2013 it was rumored that he was dating actress and model Ryan Whitney Newman, who had a recurring role on Nickelodeon’s “The Thunderman” as Allison. On 30 June 2013, Logan tweeted a picture with Ryan and insinuated that they spent some quality time together. On 7 August 2013, he tweeted that he was missing her and posted a love emoji along with the message. On 14 October 2013, the couple went to homecoming together; they also visited a beach around the same time. However, he has deleted Instagram posts which mentioned or included photos with Ryan. He never confirmed that he was dating Ryan and he mostly keeps his love life very private.
On 22 September 2019, he posted an Instagram video with Hannah Stocking attending an event that was hosted by Entertainment Weekly and L’Oreal Paris, which sparked dating rumors between the two.
