Early life and education
Gigi was raised in Miami, but also spent a lot of her youth in New York City where her paternal grandparents were living.
She attended an elementary school in Miami, but on a visit to her grandmother was noticed by a modelling scout – she was 13 at the time – and after turning 14 was already signed to a modelling, started appearing in commercials, and modelled for Delia’s.
