Early Life and Career Beginnings

G is of Swedish descent, and while she was born in Boston, when she was three years old her family moved to settle in Yarmouth, Maine. At a young age, she discovered her passion for acting and began professional performances as a child.

One of her first roles was in a production of “Madeline’s Rescue” by the Children’s Theatre of Maine, in which she played the titular character. She continued working with the group for the next few years, including in a production of “Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing”, based on a novel of the same name written by Judy Blume, the first in the Fudge series. Wanting to try and find more opportunities in acting, she stayed in California for three months, trying out at various auditions.

One of Hannelius’ first television projects was the sitcom called “Surviving Suburbia”, in which she played the daughter of the character played by Bob Saget.

Following her run in the show, G then had one of her first long term Disney projects, playing Dakota Condor in “Sonny with a Chance”.
