Elke spent only the first couple of years in Leipzig as her parents moved to live in Frankfurt in then West Germany when she was six, while she later moved to the USA by herself – she studied at the Konrad-Adenauer School in Kriftel from which she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English, Business, and Economics in 2005.
