Early life and education

Dougie spent his entire childhood in Melbourne alongside his parents and his sister Nathalie Antonia – he hasn’t shared anything regarding his mother and father with the public, and therefore nothing is known about them.

Dougie fell for acting at a very early age, and decided to focus completely on becoming a famous actor one day. He was somewhat popular at high school, thanks to his long hair which his female friends liked – after matriculation, he enrolled at the Helen O’Grady Drama Academy in Melbourne, where he worked on further improving his acting skills. He had begun by taking part in plays in elementary school, and has continued performing in theatres to this day – one of his greatest role models has been Stephen Colbert, who is an actor, writer, and a TV host among other things.

Career as an actor

While Dougie has been performing in theatre plays for around 10 years now, his career on TV was launched in 2013, when he won the role of Felix Ferne in the “Nowhere Boys” TV series – he played in a total of 26 episodes, in the series which follows the story of four boys and their adventures. His role in the “Nowhere Boys” made him somewhat popular, and he was part of the cast for two years until 2015 – simultaneously, he was playing Shawn Van Winkle in the “Upper Middle Bogan” TV series, appearing in 24 episodes between 2013 and 2016. Dougie also played his debut movie role of Vic Lang in “The Turning” anthology in 2013.

Dougie hasn’t been credited with too many roles, as he is still only launching his career in the film industry – 2016 saw him play Felix Ferne in the movie adaption of the “Nowhere Boys” TV series entitled “Nowhere Boys: The Book of Shadows”.
