Who is Cody Martin Linley?
Born on 20 November 1989, in Lewisville, Texas USA, Cody Martin Linley is an American actor, who additionally tackled singing. He had a recurring role as Jake Ryan in “Hannah Montana”, and was a participant on “Dancing With The Stars’” seventh season, in which he was paired with Julianne Hough, and they finished in the fourth place. Linley’s zodiac sign is Scorpio, and he is 29 years old.
Family and Education
Cody is the son of Lee and Cathryn and had a brother named Chad, who sadly passed away on 4 August 2011. Even at those sad times, Cody put a smile to everyone’s face, as one friend stated, adding that throughout the service, friends and members of the family would come out and share their stories about Chad. Cody took acting classes with Disney actors such as Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, while also attending a school in Lewisville.
Many believed that the actor might be gay, but judging by his dating history, that isn’t the case. Some of the girls he dated include Josie Loren, Emily Osment and Demi Lovato. Cody dated Lovato from November 2007 to June 2008. They reportedly met through a mutual friend and colleague, Selena Gomez, but broke up due to busy schedules after dating for a few months; apparently they are still close friends.
In 2010, he began going out with Chloe Bridges, whom he met through Lovato. They spent two years together prior to going their separate ways in 2012. As of today, Cody isn’t married, and lives a vegan lifestyle with his three dogs.
Dancing With The Stars
Linley was a contestant in the seventh season of “Dancing With The Stars” – he was the youngest participant of that season, and the youngest male star to ever compete in the show.
He was briefly partnered for Weeks 7 and 8 with Edyta Šliwińska, who was eliminated earlier in the season with her partner Jeffrey Ross. Śliwińska was brought back after Cody’s partner, Julianne Hough, was hospitalized, although she became his partner again in Week 9.
Linley made his acting debut in the movie “Still Holding On: The Legend of Cadillac Jack” in 1998.
The actor went on to work on projects such as “My Dog Skip”, “Beyond the Prairie, Part 2: The True Story of Laura Ingalls Wilder” and “When Zachary Beaver Came to Town”. In 2004, the audience was able to see him in “That’s so Raven”, which brought him more exposure. Finally, he had his big breakthrough in 2006, in the role of Jake Ryan in “Hannah Montana”. The series follows a student, who lives a double life as a popstar.
In the same year, he portrayed Mullet Fingers in “Hoot”, starring alongside Brie Larson, whom he dated later on.
Latter Acting Career and Other Projects
Cody worked on “The Playroom” and “Melissa & Joey” in 2012, and followed by appearing in “My Dog the Champion” in 2013, and “Sharknado 5: Global Swarming” in 2017 – overall, he has had 26 acting projects.

Cody had a brief singing career too – in 2010 he released “Breathe”, his debut single, and in 2016 switched genres and made a death metal album in collaboration with Stay Sick Recordings.
Linley also uploaded videos to his YouTube channel, and makes money every time an ad is displayed with his videos.
