He had a recurring role as Jake Ryan in “Hannah Montana”, and was a participant on “Dancing With The Stars’” seventh season, in which he was paired with Julianne Hough, and they finished in the fourth place. Cody is the son of Lee and Cathryn and had a brother named Chad, who sadly passed away on 4 August 2011. He was briefly partnered for Weeks 7 and 8 with Edyta Šliwińska, who was eliminated earlier in the season with her partner Jeffrey Ross. Śliwińska was brought back after Cody’s partner, Julianne Hough, was hospitalized, although she became his partner again in Week 9.
Career
Linley made his acting debut in the movie “Still Holding On: The Legend of Cadillac Jack” in 1998.
The actor went on to work on projects such as “My Dog Skip”, “Beyond the Prairie, Part 2: The True Story of Laura Ingalls Wilder” and “When Zachary Beaver Came to Town”. In 2004, the audience was able to see him in “That’s so Raven”, which brought him more exposure. Finally, he had his big breakthrough in 2006, in the role of Jake Ryan in “Hannah Montana”. The series follows a student, who lives a double life as a popstar.
In the same year, he portrayed Mullet Fingers in “Hoot”, starring alongside Brie Larson, whom he dated later on.

Cody had a brief singing career too – in 2010 he released “Breathe”, his debut single, and in 2016 switched genres and made a death metal album in collaboration with Stay Sick Recordings.
Linley also uploaded videos to his YouTube channel, and makes money every time an ad is displayed with his videos.
