Early life and education
Carley grew up in Long Valley, born to Zulma M. Shimkus who worked as a flight attendant, and Edward Shimkus, a businessman – they met while Edward was on one of Zulma’s flights. Margot Shimkus is the name of Carley’s older sister and she is an art teacher as well as an artist.
