The Wealth of Andrea Thoma

Andrea Thoma has earned wealth thanks to her work in physical therapy, but the majority presumably comes from sharing the financial success of her husband who has a net worth estimated to be over $5 million. The couple look to increase their wealth as they continue with their respective careers, and she’s also had opportunities from the social media fame she’s gained, thanks to her connection to the actor.

Early Life and Education

Andrea was born in Malaysia but her parents soon decided that the family should move to the US in pursuit of a better life, and settled in Alliance, Ohio where she would grow up alongside two siblings.

Despite being exposed to American culture at a young age, her mother made it a point to continue their original Borneo traditions and heritage. So Andrea learned to speak Malay/Bahasa, and knows of the customs practiced back in her country. She attended St Thomas Aquinas High School, where she was active with the school’s track and field team, but excelled at football/soccer, playing for the school’s team. She set numerous records, and was selected as a representative for the NSCAA/ Adidas All-Region III team. She also played soccer for the club Greater Akron Premier.

Further Studies and Career

After matriculating from high school, Thoma enrolled at Kent State University, where she took up a degree in exercise physiology. She continued playing soccer with the university team though her performance was held back due to injury. She scored multi-goal games with the team, becoming the 19th player to do so in their school history.  After completing her undergraduate degree, she took up postgraduate studies in physical therapy at Old Dominion University. ODU is a public university in Norfolk, Virginia which was established in 1930. It has a student population of over 24,000 students from over 89 countries.

After completing her degrees, she worked as a physical therapist briefly in Virginia and in Connecticut. She then moved and settle in California, practicing at Sunnyvale. She started to get a lot of attention online after her connection to Grant Gustin was made public. Her Instagram account gained a lot of followers in a short span of time, and many of them kept interest due to her speciality in physical therapy. She often promoted proper posture in doing every day activities, demonstration videos including on stretching and exercises. She also expanded her reach to YouTube, creating longer form videos for her channel.

Husband – Grant Gustin

Grant Gustin showed prowess in singing and acting at a young age, and was determined to find his big break in the entertainment industry. Following the completion of his college degree, he started performing on Broadway, which would lead to his role in the television series “Glee”, playing the openly gay Sebastian Smythe. The television series aired on Fox and focused on a fictitious glee club called the New Directions, which competes as a part of the show choir competition circuit.

After the end of the show, he went on to other television projects and independent films. In 2013, it was reported that he would appear as Barry Allen in a three episode guest role for “Arrow”, marking a potential spin-off series. This led to the creation of “The Flash”, which would boost him to mainstream popularity. The show follows a crime scene investigator turned superhuman speeder Barry Allen as he fights criminals who’ve also gained superhuman abilities. The show proved popular and has been running for over six seasons, and is also responsible for creating another show called “Legends of Tomorrow”.

Personal Life

Andrea met Grant while at a December 2016 dinner party held by the Sabah Tourism Board. The two began dating a month later, and quickly fell in love. He wanted to propose to her after inviting her to a film shoot, but due to hectic schedules and commitments to “The Flash”, he was not able to find the time to do so. Instead, he proposed a few months into their relationship while they were working out at the beach, an impromptu act which surprised Thoma.

Their engagement was announced through Instagram, and the two were married a year later at Valentine DTLA in Los Angeles. They also had a more traditional wedding to adhere to her family’s traditions in KG Kolopis Penampang inside her family home. Since then the two have apparently remained happy in their marriage, often supporting each other as seen on social media. She has also become close friends with several of Gustin’s co-stars in “The Flash”. The two show no signs of having children soon, as both are still busy with developing their respective careers.

Her brother works for Marriott Hotels in the sales department, while her sister works at Hyperiod Motors in a business development position.
