Early life and family
Alicia Ann Marie Arden was born under the zodiac sign of Taurus on 17 May 1969, in Las Vegas, Nevada USA, so holds American nationality. Alicia has always been intrigued with the movie industry, as her mother, Laura Velgos, worked backstage in the sphere.
She sometimes took Alicia onto the sets of various movies, so she could see the process of film-making, and young Alicia was mesmerized. Her father managed their family bakery which he inherited from his own father, but Alicia made her decision – she wasn’t going to be a baker – she would pursue her dream of becoming an actress.

Alicia’s career began with minor roles in 1986, appearing in such films as “Heat” and “Bad Influence”. She landed the recurring role of Lucy in the popular TV series “Baywatch” (1989 – 2001), sharing the screen with Pamela Anderson, David Hasselhoff and Jeremy Jackson. At the beginning of ‘90s she took her mother’s surname, Velgos, and was credited in the movies and series she appeared in as Alicia Velgos. She participated in the TV film version of the popular series “Red Shoe Diaries” (1992), played the role of Angie in “Caged Hearts” (1995), and landed the role of the girl in the video in “Trojan War” (1997).
When she was cast as Cathy in “Lovers and Liars” (1998), she permanently resumed her name Alicia Arden, then from 2002 to 2004, she played Theresa Carter in the popular series “General Hospital” (1962 – 2014).
Further acting career
She continued with minor roles in such films as “Prison of the Dead” (2000), in which she played Kat, “Vegas, City of Dreams” (2001), in the role of a strip club waitress, and “Violent Blue” (2011) playing Cara. Among her latest works are the role of Angela in “American Nudist” (2011), the part of Veronica in “Blue Dream” (2013), and as Tiffany Mairzey in “Micky’s Summer Resort” (2014). Thus, she came to the “America’s Got Talent” show to impress the judges and the audience with her dancing performance, while her mother accompanied her in playing the accordion. Unfortunately, Alicia’s stripping to her swimsuit didn’t impress the judges, and they all eliminated the duo from the show.
Later Alicia participated in a special movie filmed at the popular event Comic Con. Alicia came to the contest in the costume of Princess Leia, and got into the movie “Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope”, directed by Morgan Spurlock.
One of the most memorable appearances of Alicia on TV shows was her dancing and gymnastic performance in “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”: during the commercial break Alicia stood up from her seat and performed an improvised dance with some yoga and gymnastics elements. Controversy with Jeffrey Epstein
In 1997, Alicia visited the local police station accusing Jeffrey Epstein of sexual harassment; he’d introduced himself as a talent scout who was searching for new models for “Victoria’s Secret” brand. Alicia was not the only female who accused Epstein of sexual harassment – not only actresses such as Jennifer Araoz and Elisabetta Tai, but also more than 30 underage girls were reported to have been abused by Epstein. Lawsuits against Epstein started appearing in 2008, but Jeffrey always found a way to dismiss the case, as he had good lawyers and many influential and powerful people among his friends. He always got support from the current President of the US Donald Trump, Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton, and many others.
However, on 10 August 2019 Epstein was found dead in his prison cell, as his guards left him without attention for some time, and he used this opportunity to commit suicide; in fact it was his second attempt.

Alicia has long dark brown hair and green eyes she’s very proud of. She is 5ft 5ins (1.65m) tall, and weighs around 124lbs (56kgs), with vital statistics of 34-27-36, and she constantly does a lot of yoga and stretching to keep fit. As to her clothing style, living in warm Florida, Alicia prefers light dresses and T-shirts with shorts. However, her outfits sometimes cause a big buzz on the media. Earlier, in 2015 Alicia had a bra-less photoshoot in provocative and explicit jeans which had no fabric on Alicia’s derriere. Her photos in those jeans caused a long discussion on whether women should wear such trousers or not, but the creators of the clothing piece revealed that they were inspired for the commercials for such jeans by the movie “So Fine” (1981), so the idea was in the air for a long time already, and they just reproduced what was invented decades ago.
