They would go together to movie sets and take Alice with them, which is how she fell in love with acting at a very early age. She first appeared in a commercial for a yogurt when she was only eight years old (the director was her father’s friend).
She continued taking acting classes during high school, and after she matriculated, enrolled at college while simultaneously working on her career of an actress.
Career of an actress
Alice launched her career with a role in the short movie entitled “Trampolim” in 1998. The shooting of the Portuguese movie was finished quite quickly, and Alice went back to school and didn’t have another role for four years – her following role of Angelica in the “City of God” movie shot in 2002 is what made her popular and recognized in the movie industry.
Alice then became a somewhat sought-after actress in Brazil, and went on to appear in numerous movies over the years, with the most notable ones being “Lower City” shot in 2005 and “Only God Knows” in 2006. Her first appearance in an English-language movie was in “Journey to the End of Night” in 2006, and she was then cast to act alongside Will Smith in the “I am Legend” blockbuster movie in 2007, followed by “Redbelt” in 2008, and “Crossing Over” in 2009.
In 2010, she played Beth in the “Repo Men” science fiction movie, and Isabelle in “Predators”, before winning the role of Frey Santiago in the popular “Elysium” movie shot in 2013. She went on to win a couple of roles in Brazilian movies such as “Muitos Homens Num So” and “El Ardor”, while also appearing in the Argentinian movie “Latitudes” all in 2014.
Alice is currently part of the main cast of two TV series – she began acting in “Queen of the South” in 2016, and in “Samantha!” in 2018. She has been nominated for numerous awards, and has won more than 10 of them.
Relationships and husband
Alice is very secretive when it comes to her love life, and she has shared very little about the men she has dated over the years. She dated a popular Mexican actor Diego Luna after two met on the set of a movie in 2004, and were together until the second half of 2005 when they split – Alice would later reveal that Diego proposed to her, and she decided to end the relationship because she wasn’t ready for marriage.
She is currently rumored to be dating a popular English actor with whom she played in a movie shot in 2017, – it took them two months to begin their relationship as they first started out as friends. They have allegedly been dating for more than two years now, but this hasn’t been confirmed by Alice who prefers to keep her personal matters to herself.
Judging by the posts on her social media accounts, she is currently single, hasn’t married, and has no children.
Hobbies and interests
Alice might appear to some as a person who is completely focused on her acting career without other interests, but there are numerous other things she enjoys doing.
Alice is very fond of learning new languages, and is a linguist as she can speak Portuguese, English, Spanish, and Italian fluently. She has travelling as her main hobby and has been around the entire North and South America continents, mostly to attend photoshoots while she also had two of her own travelling tours. She prefers watching animated movies over plays, and has expressed a wish to lend her voice to a character in an animated movie, but this still hasn’t happened for her. She is a big lover of animals and has a pet dog whom she took in from a shelter.

Everything is in our hands -- each of us can make a difference and fight. That's something I believe in: taking care of being, always being giving, always trying to be helpful and generous. |
