Early life and education
Jillian with her younger brother were raised in Glenside by their father Thomas and mother Roseanne Zlemek, a registered nurse and to whom Jillian is very close. She attended a high school in Glenside, while she simultaneously worked as a grocery store clerk – after matriculation, she enrolled at La Salle University in Philadelphia, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications in 2005.

During her childhood, Jillian was very keen on watching sports with her father, especially ice hockey as Thomas was a huge fan of the Philadelphia Flyers – Jillian was also interested in dancing, and took lessons in ballet, tap, and jazz. She continued dancing for 13 years, only stopping when she became a reporter and didn’t have enough time.
Career as a reporter
Upon graduation, Jillian was offered a job in Presque Isle, Maine where she worked as a sports anchor for several months.
From there, she switched to WIVT-TV station located in Binghamton, New York State, where she stayed for a year, then moved to work for NBC 10 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2007, and won an Emmy Award for a reality TV show about the Olympic Games. She switched to NBC Sports Philadelphia in 2014, and began hosting their “Breakfast on Broad” morning sports talk show, for which she won another Emmy. She soon moved from “Breakfast on Broad” to the “Endgame”, Philadelphia Eagles post-game program.
In 2017, Jillian joined the Fox News Network, and is currently co-hosting their “Fox & Friends First” TV show, together with Rob Schmitt, an American news anchor and reporter.
