Who is Adam Housley?

Arthur Adam Housley was born in Napa, California USA, on 13 August 1971 – his zodiac sign is Leo, and he holds American nationality. He’s a journalist and former professional baseball player, who’s probably known best for the work which he has done for the American multi-national conservative cable news TV channel Fox News.

There are rumors circulating the internet, claiming that Adam has retired from journalism, however, he’s still actively working for Fox.

Early life and education

Adam was raised in Napa alongside his brother Arik Housley, by their parents about whom not a lot is known, as Adam respects their privacy; it’s believed that their father was a truck driver, and that their mother was a high school teacher.

Adam was mostly interested in playing sports while growing up, and he played football, basketball and tennis while attending a local high school. He excelled at baseball, and was around 16 years old when he chose to focus on becoming a professional baseball player.

Upon matriculating in 1989, Adam enrolled at Pepperdine University, and with the university’s baseball team competed in the 1992 National Champion College World Series. He spent two summers playing for Harwich of the Cape Cod League, and was named Junior Olympic All-American.

Adam graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political sciences in 1993, and then enrolled at the University of Arizona, from which he graduated with a Master’s degree in international relations in 1995.

Career as a professional baseball player

Upon graduating in 1993, Adam began playing for the Montreal Expos, and he then went on to play as a pitcher for both the Detroit Tigers and the Milwaukee Brewers. He pitched in 97 games prior to 1996, when he retired from baseball to focus on journalism.

Career as a journalist

Adam launched his career in 1995, when he joined the radio station KVON in his hometown, and then joined the NBC-affiliated TV station KNVN as their live reporter in 1997; the following year saw him capture a wanted arsonist, an action for which he won a California Department of Forestry Award.

Adam joined the Fox-affiliated TV station KTXL in 1999, and won various awards in the two years which he had spent with them, including a Regional Emmy and a Regional Associated Press Reporting Award; he also simultaneously worked as the lead reporter at the independent TV station KFTY.

He was amongst the first people to cover the Southeast Asian tsunami in 2004, and had helped search for the bodies together with his crew.

On 12 January 2010, after an earthquake had hit Haiti, Adam was amongst the first correspondents to report from the field, and as he’s fluent in Spanish, in the same year he covered the mining accident in Copiapo, when 33 miners remained trapped for 69 days prior to being rescued one by one with a rescue capsule.

The year 2011 saw Adam and his crew cover the 9.0 strength earthquake in Japan, as well as the following tsunami; this coverage was then featured in various popular magazines, such as “The Napa Register”, “Mediabistro” and “Los Angeles Times”.

Adam covered the 2014 protests which were organized after the death of Trayvon Benjamin Martin, an African-American 17-year-old boy who was fatally shot in Sanford, Florida.

On 12 November 2012, Tamera gave birth to their son Aden, while their daughter Ariah followed on 1 July 2015.
