Early Life, Education, and Career Beginnings

There is limited information when it comes to Adam’s life before his rise to fame online, as he has only shared very few details regarding his family and upbringing. After matriculating from high school, he enrolled at San Diego State University (SDSU). Founded in 1897, it’s the third oldest university in the California State University system. It has over 34,000 students enrolled annually, and is one of the biggest influences on the San Diego economy. It is ranked among the top 10 universities in the country in terms of racial and ethnic diversity. It also consistently rank among the top 500 universities in the world, based on the list by the publication “Forbes”.

Following the completion of his undergraduate degree, Adam began to do freelance work, as he was looking for a specific career that would interest him – he did videography and several wedding projects. During the early part of his YouTube career, Adam partnered with the company Machinima Inc. and began posting gameplay videos which were featured on the company’s channel. He had become a full-time employee of the company at one point, though still managing to maintain his own channel’s content. After several years, he announced the creation of a new network called JETPAK, which was founded by former Machinima employees. The group specifically helped to create a network which advantaged YouTubers and their channels, not using them to the company’s benefit.

In 2016, he worked alongside Evan Fong on a YouTube Red series called “The Paranormal Action Squad”, which is an animated adult comedy. Personal Life and Social Media

For his personal life, it is known that Montoya was in a relationship with fellow YouTuber Cathy Diep, though it is not known if they are still together. The two often collaborated on videos as she played with him on several occasions alongside other friends. She was the first to become inactive from her online accounts – her channel was focused on lifestyle, food, DIY videos, to name a few.

Prior to his inactivity, he was like many YouTube personalities, actively posting on social media. He has an account on Twitter which mainly promoted his YouTube channels and videos though it has not been active since 2018, at around the same time he stopped posting to his YouTube channel.
