In addition, Joey starred in the TV series “Ghostbreakers” (2011-2016), which follows him and other paranormal investigators on their nocturnal misadventures.

Born Joel Stephen Greco on the 29th February 1972, in Long Island, New York USA, he hasn’t shared anything about his family, though he said that he spent his entire childhood in Long Island. Joel attended Evangel University, a private liberal arts college in Springfield, Missouri, from which he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. He furthered his studies at Louisiana Tech University, from which has a Master’s Degree in counseling.
Career Before Television
Joey was many things before he began his career on television; he started as a counselor but switched to a career in fitness. He focused on Dallas, earning a name for himself as a fitness trainer, but then again chose to become a real estate manager. He was also a barista at a seafood restaurant.
Television Career, Rise to Stardom
Thanks to his experience as a fitness trainer, Joey was recruited by ESPN for “Fitness Pros”, a hip-hop oriented fitness show, and this is how his career on television began.
He took a big step forward in December 2002, when he was chosen as the replacement for Tommy Habeeb to host “Cheaters”, which continued until 2012, during which time he earned star status, mostly thanks for one particular episode. Joey was replaced in 2012 by Clark Gable III, however, it was in 2015 that he returned as the host of the show that launched him to the stars. Although the show received mixed to negative reviews, the show still runs and has more than 400 episodes.
Its host, Joey, has been praised for his hosting skills, and fans have said that they are watching “Cheaters” only because of him. When Clark Gable III replaced him, the ratings reduced, and when he returned, the ratings improved.
In addition to “Cheaters”, Joey has worked on a number of projects, and has tried himself as an actor. From 2003 onwards, Joey made several film and TV appearances, after debuting as Tony in the film “The Bottom Line”.
In 2006 he was Det. Williams in the film “Serum”, while in 2009 he starred in the horror-comedy film “Night Crawlers”, and two years later in the horror-thriller film “The Locker”.

Back in 2003, Joey was stabbed on air by one of the cheating boyfriends involved in “Cheaters”. However, after a thorough investigation by media and police, it was established that all was staged. Paid actors came forward and confessed everything about what happened, however, Joey has avoided giving answers on multiple occasions on the specific episode.
The police said that no one reported the crime, and therefore no one was arrested. Nevertheless, staged or not, Joey’s stabbing pushed him forward in the show business industry.
Throughout the existence of “Cheaters”, many have speculated that the entire show is staged and that they were using a bunch of paid actors. Furthermore, Joey has been involved in several legal problems, including facing charges of restraining a woman, among numerous other accusations.
