Dr. Emmanuel Hostin is an American doctor, who is widely recognized for being the orthopedic surgeon, currently affiliated with several Mount Sinai as well as the Northwell Health’s Lenox Hill Hospital in the New York City. However, he is probably best known to the public as the spouse of popular American lawyer, television personality and columnist Sunny Hostin.

Emmanuel Hostin was born under the zodiac sign of Virgo on the 5th September 1971, in the New York City’s Long Island, and is of American nationality and African American ethnicity with a bit of Jewish ancestry as well. He attended The John Hopkins University’s School of Medicine from which he graduated in 1996, earning his degree in Orthopedic Surgery. He is also one of the leading medical experts within the Lenox Hill Hospital, which in September 2018 was listed as one of the US’s 100 Best Hospitals.
During the catastrophic Haiti earthquakes in January 2010, Dr. Hostin voluntarily served as a member of several of Mount Sinai’s medical missions.
Personal Life
The 48-year-old Emmanuel is in a long-term marriage with Sunny Hostin. The couple married in August 1998, and in the course of the past two decades welcomed two children – a son named Gabriel born in August 2002 and a daughter named Paloma born in May 2006.
Alongside Alvin Clayton, Hostin is the co-owner of the Alvin & Friends restaurant located in New Rachelle, New York. With his family, he resides in a 22-room 1920s Tudor style villa in Purchase, New York.

After matriculating from an all-girls Catholic college preparatory school named Dominican Academy, Sunny enrolled at Binghamton University from which she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Rhetoric. Sunny’s debut on-camera engagement occurred in mid-2000s, when she appeared as Court TV’s commentator. This was followed with a series of appearances on the “Is It Legal?” segment of the Fox News Channel’s talk show “The O’Reilly Factor”, as well as with the position of legal analyst for CNN’s flagship three-hour newscast “American Morning”. In 2011 she began appearing in “Anderson Cooper 360°” news program. before in 2012 joining ABC’s news broadcast “World News Now”.
To greater prominence Sunny came in 2013 when she began serving as a co-host of the ABC’s talk show “The View”, in which she continues to appear. For her endeavors on the show, she’s been nominations three in consecutive years for the prestigious Daytime Emmy Award in 2017, ‘18 and ‘19. Additionally, since 2016 she regularly appears as the Senior Legal Correspondent for the news section of the ABC’s flagship morning broadcast “Good Morning America”. Other notable Sunny Hostin’s on-camera appearances include shows such as “Jeopardy!”, “Entertainment Tonight” as well as “Good Morning America Weekend Edition”.

Apart from the abovementioned, in 2017 she made a cameo appearance in the critically praised comedy drama movie “Girls Trip”, while since June 2019 she serves as the host of the Investigation Discovery’s TV documentary series “Truth About Murder with Sunny Hostin“.
