Who is Anjali Pichai?
Anjali Pichai is an Indian chemical engineer who is, however, better known for being married to Sundar Pichai, who made a name for himself as the CEO of the multinational business conglomerate and Google’s parent company Alphabet Inc. She’s also widely recognized as one of the ‘steersman’ of Intuit Inc.
Early Life, Childhood and Education
Anjali Haryani was born under the zodiac sign of Capricorn on the 11th January 1971, in Kota, a city in the state of Rajasthan in northern India.
She belongs to a Brahmin family of Hinduism, and with her brother named Amit, was raised by their father Olaram Haryani, a former employee at the Government Polytechnic College, and step-mother Madhuri Sharma. Anjali studied at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, from which she graduated in 1993, obtaining her Bachelor of Technology degree and becoming a chemical engineer.
Career
Anjali began her professional career in the late 1990s, as a business analyst for business, technology and operations strategy services providing company Accenture.
After honing her skills in the course of the next couple of years, she moved to the US, and joined financial software development company Intuit Inc. for which she currently serves as the Business Operation Manager.
Marriage with Sundar Pichai
Anjali and Sundar first met as classmates during their freshman year at IIT Kharagpur. Gradually, their affection became a friendship and they began dating. Their ‘special bond’ only grew stronger, and so during the senior year of their studies Sundar popped the question and Anjali accepted.
Their love story was put to the test when he moved to the USA to complete his schooling. Being financially dependent and without internet and all modern-day technologies, the couple faced severe difficulties in their long distance relationship – once they went almost half a year without hearing from each other. However, their love stood the test of time, and they married in the late 1990s, their wedding ceremony in a traditional Indian manner, and are apparently happily married.
The couple relocated back to the states where they welcomed two children, a daughter named Kavya and son Kiran. With her family, and their pet dog Jeffree, Anjali currently resides in the $3.5 million valued five-bedroom villa located in Los Altos Hills, California, which features a tennis court and a mini football pitch as well.
Sundar Pichai
Pichai Sundararajan also known as Sundar Pichai was born under the zodiac sign of Gemini on the 10th June 1972, in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India, the only child of stenographer Lakshmi and electrical engineer Regunatha Pichai.
He went to Jawahar Vidyalaya High School before attending VanaVani Matriculation Higher Secondary School at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Sundar then enrolled at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur from which he graduated with a degree in metallurgical engineering. He then obtained his Master of Science degree from California’s Stanford University, majoring in material science and engineering, before completing his Master of Business Administration degree at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was first a Siebel Scholar and later a Palmer Scholar as well.
Sundar began his career as an engineer and product manager at Applied Materials, Inc. before joining international management consulting concern McKinsey & Company. In 2004, Pichai joined the Silicon Valley’s technological giant and one of leaders of IT development – Google LLC. As its product manager, he’s ‘guilty’ for producing several of its most popular products, such as Google Chrome, Google Maps and Gmail to name a few.

From 2011 to 2013 he served as the director of Jive Software, while in August 2015 he was appointed as Google’s Product Chief. However, in October that year he was named as the CEO of its umbrella company Alphabet Inc. Under Sundar Pichai’s leadership, over the years it’s become one of the world’s largest companies, and the fifth-largest tech conglomerate of today.
