Los Angeles Lakers, and Life After Retirement
Then as a free agent, O’Neal signed with the Los Angeles Lakers, and the move proved successful for both him and the team. With the Lakers, he won three consecutive championships in partnership with Kobe Bryant. However, due to tension between the two players, he was traded to the Miami Heat, and won a championship with that team two years later. He subsequently played with the Suns, Cavaliers, and Celtics before deciding to retire.
During his career, he accumulated 15 All-Star game selections, and three NBA All-Defensive Team selections.
