Harlow first worked in CNN as the anchor for CNNMoney, reporting for several programs with the network, and posting video content through CNNMoney’s website. She also did work for sister companies such as HLN and CNN International. Over the years, she would gain attention and awards for her work, leading her to be named a New York-based correspondent in 2012.
The following year, she continued to make waves in the industry, reporting on the conviction of two high school American Football players who raped a 16-year old girl. However, her statements attracted controversy, as she seemingly expressed sympathy for rapists, which caused an outrage requesting CNN to apologize for the way they created the news.
Over the years, she continued to serve as a part of CNN’s main programming while also filling in for CNN International when the need arose.
