Thomas Vonn was born on 3 December 1975, in New York City, USA, and is a retired professional alpine ski racer, but probably better known for once being married to retired professional alpine ski racer Lindsey Vonn. She is one of only two female skiers to win four World Cup overall championships, and one of only six women to win World Cup races in all of the five disciplines in alpine skiing.

Thomas grew up in New York and after matriculating from high school, enrolled at St. Lawrence University located in Canton. Following his graduation, he fully pursued skiing professionally, and focused on the giant slalom. The sport requires skiing in between sets of pokes which are randomly spaced, so is a more technical form of skiing.
His best performance, however, was when he competed in the 2002 Winter Olympics in the Super-G, an event more defined by speed, in which he finished in ninth place. Lindsey Vonn (nee Kildow) was born 18 October 1984, in St Paul, Minnesota, and is of Norwegian ancestry.
Her parents were very supportive of her pursuing skiing at a young age and she started training as a child – her father had been a strong prospect for the professional sport until a knee injury derailed his momentum. She became inspired by Olympic gold medalist Picaboo Street who encouraged her to continue her path of skiing, later serving as her mentor.
With continued support and training from her family, peers, and mentors, she started to quickly rise up the ranks as a junior.
She eventually joined the US ski team and won four World Cup overall championships, including consecutive titles from 2008 to 2010. During the 2010 Winter Olympics, she won gold in the downhill which marked the first for an American. She continued to win eight World Cup season titles in downhill, along with five titles in Super-G. She also won three combined titles, and 20 World Cup crystal globe titles, reaching the top of the overall record for men and women.

Lindsey is one of only six women to have won World Cup alpine skiing races in all five disciplines – overall she won 82 World Cup races during her career, holding the women’s record for victories in the World Cup, surpassing the success of Annemarie Moser-Proll who had held the record since the 1970s.

Personal Life
Thomas married Lindsey in 2007, having met through their shared passion in professional alpine skiing. Their marriage was held at the Silver Lake Lodge in Deer, Valley Utah and she took on his last name before she went on to have her title-winning streak which defined her career. A year after her gold medal win in the 2010 Olympics, the couple filed for divorce which was settled in 2013. Since then, he’s moved on and began a relationship with Shauna Kane – the couple have a child together – but he’s generally stayed out of the spotlight.
Lindsey began dating professional golf player and legend Tiger Woods in 2013 which lasted for two years. She also dated National Football League (NFL) assistant coach Kenan Smith for a year. In 2018, she started dating National Hockey League (NHL) defenseman PK Subban and after a year the two announced their engagement.
She remains an icon of professional sports and recently did a few modelling photo shoots for “Sports Illustrated”. She has also been listed as one of the hottest women of the year by “Maxim” magazine.
