Who is Chloe Chrisley?

Chloe “Coco” Chrisley was born in 2012, in South Carolina, USA, and is a reality television personality, best known for being one of the featured family members in the reality show created by Todd Chrisley, “Chrisley Knows Best”. She is the daughter of Kyle Chrisley, Todd’s son from his first marriage to Teresa Terry, who was featured during the first season of their show.

The Riches of Chloe Chrisley

At the age of seven, presumably Chloe Chrisley doesn’t have independent wealth, but no doubt benefits from the success gained by her wider family.

Her father has a net worth estimated to be over $2 million and her grandfather who has full custody of her, is a real estate mogul, and has a net worth estimated to be over $5 million.

A Troubled Childhood

Chloe is Kyle’s daughter from a relationship with ex-girlfriend Angela Johnson. At a young age, Chloe’s father was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and started looking for ways to alleviate the symptoms. This led to an unhealthy relationship with drugs, which spiraled into addiction.

She and her mother reportedly experienced violent and erratic behavior from Kyle -her mother was threatened multiple times, even on one occasion with a knife.

Kyle was later arrested, but that left the child without much support. Desperate, Angela began contacting the grandparents, who at the time were gaining a bit of attention thanks to their reality TV show. Her mother would drop Chloe off with her grandparents at weekends, which went on for a while, and the grandparents became comfortable enough to introduce her into their show.

Chrisley Knows Best and Parental Issues

Chloe quickly became a fan favorite of “Chrisley Knows Best”, a show featuring her extended family on the USA Network. The show primarily focuses on Todd, who made a name for himself in real estate. As the show progressed, it showed more of his marriage to Julie Chrisley and their children, including from his previous marriage. The show has been running for more than seven seasons, despite ongoing litigation. A spin-off show is also in the works, called “Growing Up Chrisley” which will feature his children.

Chloe’s father who had become estranged from the family started slinging accusations Todd’s way. Kyle was a feature of the first season of “Chrisley Knows Best” but was quietly dropped from the show because of his drug problems. He accused Todd of using Chloe as a means to boost ratings, and to help the family attract different demographics since she is of mixed race, quickly denied by Todd. He hopes that as Kyle’s daughter grows up in the household, daughter and father would eventually reconcile.

The Chrisleys eventually got full custody of Chloe, after her mother was indicted for attempting to defraud food stamps and Medicaid by listing the child as her dependent.

Tax Issues and Reconciliation

Todd also had a falling out with Kyle’s biological sister Lindsie, who with Kyle’s biological mother made accusations that Todd had been falsifying tax documents, so that the family would be investigated for possible tax evasion. The case is underway, and has resulted in the temporary suspension of “Chrisley Knows Best”.

Kyle moved on, marrying Alexus Whilby in 2014. He pursued a career as a country singer with his wife but they didn’t make any significant breakthrough in the industry. A few years into the marriage, the drug problems resurfaced and the two became estranged. He was later arrested for possession of methamphetamine, which police discovered in his car.

Todd continued to support his son in terms of rehabilitation attempts, and always held an open door for him to reconcile with the family and his child.

Kyle eventually took this offer and became close with the family once more, though his sister Lindsie was still in a bad place. He later retracted all the statements he made online, stating that he said some things as a result of being troubled with drugs, and didn’t mean to falsely accuse his father of evading taxes.

Life in the Present

While Kyle has been separated from his wife, he has remained close to Chloe and the family, and has been taking medication to help him cope with the bipolar disorder.

In 2019, he was hospitalized after apparently attempting to take his own life, but it was later clarified that he took some medication the side effect of which was to make him suicidal.

Chloe’s mother, on the other hand, has been quiet. It is not known if she has remarried, but is no longer present in her life after Todd took full custody of her. She continues to keep fans interested as she grows up in “Chrisley Knows Best”.
