He didn’t intend on pursuing a career in acting at first, taking up a degree in Business Administration with a focus on finance.

He then became a part of the American College Theater Festival, which convinced him that he wanted to become a professional actor. After completing his undergraduate degree, he enrolled at Philadelphia’s Temple University to study for a Master’s degree in Fine Arts, with a focus on acting. One of Kunal’s first notable projects was in the play “Huck & Holden”, portraying an Indian exchange student who wants to experience the culture of America before he returns home. Meantime he wrote the play “Cotton Candy”, which gained positive reviews in his home country. One of his first television roles was a guest appearance in “NCIS”, in which he portrayed an Iraq terrorist.
