Career Beginnings

Hayes started his career in the entertainment industry in 1999, first appearing in the film entitled “Beyond the Pale” as one of its lead stars. The drama stars Patrick Clark, and is set in New York during the 1980s. He got more opportunities thanks to that work, and the following year was given a role in the film entitled “Fingers”. He continued to work, though he mainly had small roles, or worked in the background as a writer.

In 2009, he got his first television project in “High Maintenance”, which follows the story of a cannabis deliveryman, part of his job as he goes around New York City. The lead role is performed by Ben Sinclair, and the project was his collaboration with Katja Blichfeld. Hayes continued taking small roles in projects such as “Slaphappia”, “Masters of Sex”, “Take My Wife”, and “Major Crimes”. In 2016, he was given a minor role in the web series “Swedish Dicks”, the story of two Swedish private investigators who move to Los Angeles and try to make a living there.

Two of his recent projects include “Bluff City Law” and “Chambers”.

Kristen Wiig was born in Canandaigua, New York State, USA, though her family later moved to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where she stayed for a few years before returning to her state, settling in Rochester. She completed her high school there, and then enrolled at the University of Arizona, where a teacher urged her to pursue an acting career after noticing her talent. She then moved to Los Angeles, and began working with the improvisational group called The Groundlings.

After a few years of working on television, in 2005 she became a regular cast member of the comedy sketch show “Saturday Night Live”. The live show has been running since 1975, and often features comedy coinciding with modern culture, with a large varying cast, with episodes often hosted by a guest celebrity. Her work with the show led to more opportunities, with supporting roles in comedy films.

In 2011, Wiig continued to elevate her status as she starred in the film “Bridesmaids”, which she also co-wrote. The film was highly successful at the box office, and she earned numerous awards for her work. While working on acting, she’s also done animated projects, lending her voice for the “Despicable Me” franchise, which follows the story of a supervillain who adopts three girls. It stars Steve Carell, who grows increasingly attached to the girls, leading to him becoming a better person.

She has also contributed her voice to three main films and four short films created in the “How to Train Your Dragon” franchise, based on the Cressida Cowell series of children’s books. It is mainly centered on a Viking named Hiccup, who becomes an expert with dragons as he befriends a rare breed of Night Fury called Toothless.

In recent years, she’s enjoyed notable roles in high profile films.

In 2013, she worked on “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty”, a remade film adaptation of the short story of the same name. She also  starred in the 2016 reboot of “Ghostbusters”, but the film bombed at the box office.

Personal Life

Following Hargrove’s divorce, he’s mainly stayed out of the spotlight, though he continues to take minor acting roles. He married Wiig in 2005 and they stayed together for four years before divorcing in 2009.

Since then he’s moved on to marry actress Katherine Von Till in 2017. She is known for her voice work, currently voicing the character Snow White, and Wrigley who appeared in “Sofia the First”. She also played the role of Janice Elden in the show “Castle”.

Wiig, on the other hand, announced her engagement to actor Avi Rothman in 2019, after four years of dating.
