John grew up in Santa Monica with his mother, as his parents split even before he was born – actually when Bridget was three months pregnant. His father went on to marry Brazilian model and actress Gisele Bundchen not long afterwards, so John has a stepsister named Vivian Lake Brady and a stepbrother called Benjamin Rein Brady.
His mother remarried as well, to Andrew Frankel, a businessman; they don’t have any children together. John is now being home-schooled by his mother and stepfather.

He began cheering for the San Francisco 49ers football team in the ‘80s, and was a huge fan of Joe Montana, their quarterback – his parents paid for his football classes at the College of San Mateo, where he was coached by Tony Graziani.
