Early life and education

Letesha was raised in New York City by her parents Adrienne Letesha and Ice-T – both of them were still attending high school when Adrienne gave birth to her. She is the eldest of three as she has a half-brother Tracy Marrow Jr., and a half-sister named Chanel.

Letesha launched her career as a TV personality when she created the “T-Tea-V Behind the Scenes” reality TV show, which revolves around her father Ice-T, his life and his tours – she served as the host of the show, while she was also its CEO and an assistant director. Ice-T is a rapper, songwriter, actor, and a writer, but best known for his rapping career.

Ice-T was initially raised in Newark by his father Solomon and his mother Alice – Solomon was a conveyor belt mechanic while his mother was a housewife. When Ice-T was four, the family moved to live in Summit, New Jersey – his first contact with racism was at the age of seven and he credits his mother with teaching him how not to allow other people’s negativity to get to him. When he was nine his mother died from a heart attack, and Solomon went on to raise Ice-T on his own.

He launched his career as a singer when he joined The Precious Few of Crenshaw High School band – to make money, Ice-T sold marijuana and stole items from cars such as stereos, but it wasn’t enough for him to support himself and his girlfriend, who was pregnant with their daughter Letesha. He joined the Army in 1977 and spent two years in the military, where his interest in rap was born – he was discharged from the Army in 1979 due to being a single father.

He launched his rapping career in 1983, when he recorded his first single “Cold Wind Madness” – it was a major success and another hit single, “Body Rock” followed in the same year.
