While playing for them, he earned eight Pro Bowl selections. At the beginning of his professional football career, he had a dream of being inducted into the Hall of Fame and wanted to win more Super Bowls – he went on to become named first team All-Pro in 1983, 1984, and 1985.
Howie retired from football In 1993, and became an actor, mostly appearing in action films such as “Broken Arrow” in 1996 and “3000 Miles to Graceland” released in 2001, while he was the star of the “Firestorm” film released in 1998.
