Tony and his younger sister were raised in Los Angeles by their mother, after their parents divorced when Tony was two years old. Tony became interested in journalism at the age of eight, when he started watching the news with his mother and sister. He matriculated from a local high school in Los Angeles, and then started working two jobs so that he could support his mother and his sister.

It was only in 2002 at the age of 34 that he began studying journalism at Poynter Institute, before switching to Occidental College and graduating with a bachelor’s degree in political science in 2007.

Career as a journalist

Tony launched his career in broadcasting by working for the PBS News network as an intern, appearing in their hourly news programs while attending the American University’s School of Communication at the same time. He received his Master’s degree in 2009, and then started working for the ABC network in their “Good Morning America” ABC morning show which covers news, weather, and special interest stories. The program also follows pop culture, lifestyle, and entertainment.

After he left the ABC, Tony started working for “The New York Times” print publication, and after that for “The Wall Street Journal”, “Time Magazine”, and “Huffington Post”. In 2013, he started to appear simultaneously in programs of several TV news networks, including USA Today, Fox News, and CNBC. She launched her career when she started working for the “LA Weekly” alternative newspaper; she was their freelance business writer who sold her articles at $50 per piece. She finished her internship at KCOP-TV in Los Angeles, before moving to Greenville in North Carolina to work for WNCT-TV as their reporter and an anchor. From March 1992 to 2000, she worked for WDAF-TV in Kansas City as an evening anchor – while there, she was harassed and stalked by a former friend who came to Kansas to follow her. From there, she moved to work at KSTP-TV network in Minneapolis-Saint Paul as their evening anchor, leaving the station in the summer of 2004.

In 2005, she became a correspondent for “A Current Affair”, which was cancelled in October 2005. From 2011 to 2017, she served as an anchor of “Fox Report Weekend”, and went on to host “Mid-term Election Coverage 2018”, while she also served as a substitute anchor of the “Shepard Smith Reporting” show. In April 2014, she was chosen to work as a co-host on the “Outnumbered” daytime Fox News show, and in 2017, she became an anchor of “Outnumbered Overtime” TV show.

Hasbro the toy manufacturer was sued by Faulkner for $5 million in September 2015, after they named one of their plastic toy hamsters after her. The suit was settled in October 2016, and Hasbro stopped producing the toy.
