Brother Chris Pine
Katherine’s brother, Christopher Whitelaw Pine was born in Los Angeles on 26 August 1980, and is recognized as the actor of a rich resume, having appeared in numerous successful silver screen projects, including “Star Trek” in 2009, “Star Trek Beyond” in 2016 and and “Wonder Woman” in 2017. He is the son of Robert Pine, who is also an actor, so it is no surprise that Chris chose this profession.
His mother was also an actress, but later on became a psychotherapist. Chris was a student of the University of California, Berkeley and graduated in 2002, attaining a degree in English language. At first, he was anxious about beginning a new chapter of his life at college and reportedly had trouble fitting in and making new friends. It was during this time that he began acting, as a member of his college theater department. He was also a student of the University of Leeds, situated in England, where he spent one year on exchange program.
Having finished with those aspects of his education, Pine decided to dedicate more to his desire to become an actor, perfecting his skills at the Williamstown theatre Festival and American Conservatory theatre in San Francisco.
Chris has had numerous acting gigs, thus we will only be covering his most prominent ones. He made his TV debut in an episode of the critically acclaimed medical drama series “ER”, and followed by briefly appearing in “The Guardian” and “CSI Miami” in the same year.
More recognition came in 2004, when he played one of the main characters in “The Princess Diaries 2 Royal Engagement”, the sequel of Disney’s beloved “The Princess Diaries”. Pine achieved major success in 2009, when he joined the cast of “Star Trek” in the role of Kirk – the leading character of the trilogy. In 2013, the actor provided voice recordings for a video game version of the movie, and in the same year appeared in its sequel – “Star Trek Into Darkness”.
In 2015, Pine made an appearance in several episodes of “Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp” and in 2017, he joined the cast of “Wonder Woman” as Steve Trevor. Besides receiving a generally positive response from both critics and the audience, the movie was also acclaimed as the first superhero movie with a female lead character – it was rewarded with 23 awards such as Actor Award and AFI Award for Movie of the Year, in addition to earning numerous nominations.

Pine is outspoken about his political views – he supports Liberals and Democrats, and endorsed Barack Obama. Pine was a subject of a controversy after being arrested for DUI.
