She started taking classes at The Sanford Meisner Center for the Arts in Los Angeles, California, from the age of fifteen. Amelia found that the adult courses would be more beneficial to her than those in her age group, and the center made an exception for her as she was not yet eighteen. She completed their two-year program, after which she spent a summer in London with the British American Drama Academy where she studied Shakespeare.
After London, Amelia started working with Oscar-nominated actress Lindsay Crouse, who guided her to New York City’s Atlantic Theater Company founded by William H. Macy and David Mamet. Here Amelia graduated from their two-year conservatory program, and went on to take master classes at Atlantic’s Los Angeles branch, with Clark Gregg, Camryn Manheim, Felicity Huffman and David Mamet himself.
Family’s personal life
Amelia hasn’t mentioned her parents’ names, but she did post a picture of her sister and herself dancing with their dad on Twitter on Father’s Day 2018. She revealed that her sister’s name is Natasha, and posted a picture of them for International Sibling Day in 2019, with the caption ‘Happy #InternationalSiblingsDay.
