Who is Braison Cyrus?
American actor, singer, model and social media star Braison Cyrus was born in Nashville, Tennessee USA, on 9 May 1994, making Taurus his zodiac sign. He’s perhaps known best for being the younger brother of American singer-songwriter and actress Miley Ray Cyrus, born as Destiny Hope Cyrus; she’s one of not many child stars who’ve been able to continue their successful careers as adults, and Miley’s won numerous awards and accolades for her music, including eight Guinness World Records, two Billboard Music Awards and 19 Teen Choice Awards.
Education and early life
Braison was raised in Nashville alongside Miley and their younger sister Noah, by their father Billy Ray Cyrus who’s a country singer-songwriter and actor, and mother Tish Finley Cyrus who’s a music producer and manager; Billy and Tish married secretly on 28 December 1993, a year after Miley was born, and Braison has a paternal half-brother Christopher Cody and two maternal half-siblings Trace and Brandi from his parents’ former relationships. Billy and Tish filed for divorce on 26 October 2010 but were able to reconcile; they filed for divorce again in April 2022, and revealed that they had been living separately for two years.
Braison grew up being interested mostly in acting and singing, looking up to his family who were all active in the entertainment industry. He studied at Pasadena School of the Arts and was perhaps mostly into appearing in school plays during his time there, although he also enjoyed playing the guitar and the piano, taking creative writing lessons and painting.
Braison matriculated in 2012, and then enrolled at New York Film Academy, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2016.
Acting credits
Braison has only three acting credits. He played Bo in the 2001 episode “Some Gave All: Part 1” of the romantic family series “Doc”, which starred his father Billy and Derek McGrath, and was created by Gary R. Johnson and Dave Allan Johnson. It follows the adventures of a doctor and his family and friends, the series aired from 2001 through 2004, and won three of its 18 award nominations.
In 2008, Braison portrayed Boy in the episode “We’re All on This Date Together” of the family musical comedy series “Hannah Montana”, which starred his sister Miley and Emily Osment, and was created by Barry O’Brien and Richard Correll. It follows the life of a teenage pop star, the series aired from 2006 through 2011, and won 22 of the 51 awards for which it was nominated.
Braison’s only other role has been playing Jacob Lackey in the 2016 comedy movie “Heels”, which starred Ryan Bottiglieri, who also wrote and directed it; it follows two adopted brothers as they’re struggling to save their father’s restaurant.

Braison launched his self-titled YouTube channel on 13 August 2020, and there are today close to 2,000 people subscribed to it, while all his 11 videos combined have amassed nearly 200,000 views; he mostly uploads his original music videos, but he’s yet to make a breakthrough with his music. As a comparison, Braison sister Miley’s YouTube channel is subscribed to by more than 18 million people, and her 124 videos combined have been watched nearly eight billion times.

He and American non-celebrity woman Stella McBride exchanged vows in a large but private ceremony on 3 November 2019; Stella prefers to stay away from media, and it’s believed that she’s currently focused on being a housewife and raising their son, and thus hasn’t launched a career in any field. She gave birth to Bear Chance Cyrus on 8 June 2021.
Prior to meeting Stella, Braison spent a couple of months dating Katherine Schwarzenegger, who’s perhaps only known for being a daughter of famous American actor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
There are no other women whom Braison’s perhaps been with, that we know about; he’s married to Stella McBride as of July 2023, and they have a son together.
