Career Beginnings: Moving to Los Angeles and Theater

At the age of 18, Stephanie made the difficult decision to move across the country to Los Angeles, California; even though she is a Californian native, she had become used to the cold and unforgiving weather in Buffalo. Immediately upon settling in Los Angeles, she joined the Upright Citizens Brigade, a legendary sketch and improvisation comedy troupe, created to help young actors and actresses perfect their skills, and Stephanie succeeded in doing just that. ‘I immediately fell in love with Improv. UCB really lured me in. I had always been funny, not in the class clown way, more in the whisper-a-funny-comment-to-the-person-sitting-next-tome way. UCB turned me into the class clown you see today’, says Allynne. Needless to say, the experience allowed her to perform on stage and gain the confidence she previously lacked. She later joined ASSSSCAT, another famous alternative troupe devoted to the exploration of avant-garde plays.

Acting Career

Stephanie used her theatrical prowess to try her hand in movies and TV series. It turns out that she was more than ready, given the fact that she was in five movies which premiered at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival. “People Places Things”, “Gregory Go Boom” and “Tig” were the most notable, and achieved great success with screenings across the US. What’s interesting is that Stephanie personally wrote scripts for all three of these movies, which is astonishing for someone with less than ten years of acting experience. When “Twin Peaks” returned in 2017, fans were delighted that she would be joining the star-studded cast, but “One Mississippi” is perhaps her most significant achievement in terms of acting. The show is a satirical comedy with strong elements of an autobiography, as Tig Notaro plays herself, returning to her hometown after her mother had passed away. Fans loved the chemistry between Stephanie and Tig, especially because they were never afraid to show it.

In 2017, Stephanie starred in “Please Stand By” and “One Mississippi.” In 2018, she worked on a variety of projects, including “Clean Blood,” “Pacific Rim: Uprising,” “Someone You Know,” and “Room 104.”

She only worked on one project in 2020-“Indebted.” The year after that, she starred in the short “Cinephile.” In 2021, Stephanie was featured in “Reboot” and “The L Word: Generation Q,” while continuing her work on “Craig of the Creek.” She has no upcoming projects as of early 2024.

Work as a Director and Producer

Using her acting experience, Stephanie mastered the ins and outs of Hollywood, which prompted her to expand her influence and try her hand at acting and directing. She mostly dabbled in short films, such as “The Fun Company” and “No Is a Full Sentence”, which weren’t highly publicized accomplishments, but through which she managed to gain valuable experience. She wrote and produced “First Ladies” for Netflix, which will see her, Jennifer Anniston and Tig Notaro assume the lead roles. She also wrote an hour-long drama for HBO, which may be her most significant accomplishment to date.

Net Worth

Stephanie’s success is perhaps confirmed by her net worth, estimated by authoritative sources at over $1.5 million as of 2024, accumulated from her multi-faceted career in the entertainment industry over little more than 10 years.

Personal Life: Is Stephanie Allynne Married? Does She Have Any Children?

Allynne is married to comedian and actress Tig Notaro. The couple met while they were shooting “In a World…”, but Stephanie wasn’t completely sure what to make of the situation. ‘I was so into Tig and I was falling in love with her and I didn’t know how to identify it because I thought I was straight’, she said in an interview with Cosmopolitan. They announced their engagement on 1 January 2015 and married on 24 October the same year, surrounded by friends and family on a secluded beach in California. Stephanie didn’t only think she would never fall in love with a woman, but also never thought she would marry. ‘“I never thought I would be married with two kids by the time I was 30, but, hey, here we are and all is dreamy.’ Both her and Tig’s parents were very supportive of their relationship, and they frequently spent time together.

On 26 June 2016, Stephanie and Tig joyously welcomed Max and Finn, their twin boys, into their lives through the beautiful journey of surrogacy. They enjoy sharing photos of their family on social media, showing fans just how happy they are.
