She grew up far away from the media, and her parents had put all their efforts to persuade her not to become an actress. However, this changed as she got older and started showcasing her talents. She attended Brown University, and also studied acting at the musical theater company CAP21. She finally convinced her parents to let her try herself in acting.

Sosie made her acting debut in 2005 when her father cast her in his film “Loverboy”; although a minor role, she liked it and did all she could to continue her career.
