Siena Agudong
Siena Nicole Agudong was born on 19th August 2004, in Kauai, Hawaii, USA. Despite her young age, she’s been active in the entertainment industry since 2013, and went from being an unknown actress to a rising star, thanks to roles in “Star Fall”, “Resident Evil”, and “No Good Nick”.
Enjoying a tranquil childhood in Hawaii with her parents Karen and Kenneth and older sister Sydney, Siena attended King Kaumuali’i Elementary School and Island School, eventually switching to online schooling so as to focus on her career. Siena was encouraged to get into acting by her sister, with whom she shares a close bond. The actress previously claimed to be of Caucasian, Filipino, and Polynesian descent.
Career: Notable Roles
At the age of seven, Siena began acting in local productions, and had a role in the Hawaii Children’s Theatre production of “Willy Wonka”. Aged eight, she had the role of Lulu Parker in the crime drama series “Killer Women”, but which ran for just one season; the series was based on the Argentinian show “Mujeres asesinas”, developed by Hannah Shakespeare, and the main characters were Molly Parker (played by Tricia Helfar), Dan Winston (Marc Blucas), and Luis Zea (Alex Fernandez). The show saw Molly, a former beauty queen who found the courage to divorce her abusive and powerful husband, climb up the ranks of the Texas Rangers, known for being one of the most male-dominated and elitist law enforcement establishments. Each episode saw Molly solve a crime that had been committed by a woman. Siena’s character, Lulu, was Molly’s niece and appeared in all eight episodes of the show – in 2015, she was nominated for a Young Artist’s Award.
From 2015 to 2018, Siena played Natlee in “Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn”, becoming a recurring cast member in season two and staying on until the end of the show. The comedy series, developed by Michael Feldman and aimed at children, aired on Nickelodeon, and chronicled the lives of four wildly different quadruplets who fought constantly but also solved problems and overcame difficulties together. Natlee was a fan favorite and an instrumental part to many storylines, so many viewers were disappointed when she was abruptly written out of the show, halfway through the fourth season. Even so, her work in the series saw her be nominated for two Young Artist Awards in 2016 and 2017.
In 2018, Siena had a starring role in the straight-to-DVD film “Alex & Me”, playing Reagan Wills in the Warner Bros. movie. Reagan starts the movie trying out for the number one girls’ soccer club in the state, but despite being accepted, she is eventually cut from the team due to a number of circumstances beyond her control.
In a fit of rage, Reagan tears down a poster of her favorite player Alex Morgan, falling off a chair and bumping her head in the process. After coming to, Reagan sees Alex in her room but believes her to be an hallucination. Eventually accepting that nobody else can see Alex, the pair begin training together. The movie ends with Reagan’s new team winning their first Diamond Cup title thanks to her decisive goal; later, she meets Alex in person, with the soccer star helping Reagan’s team raise funds to buy the lot on which they practice.
Despite the commercial failure of “Alex & Me”, Siena was cast ln more leading roles thanks to the movie. So far, the promising actress has starred in the comedy drama “No Good Nick”, the Nickelodeon series “Star Falls”, and the Disney Channel Original Movie “Upside-Down Magic”.
Siena’s latest role has been playing Billie Wesker in the action-horror series “Resident Evil”, which was developed by Andrew Dabb for Netflix. The series is loosely based on the videogame series of the same name, and is the third live-action adaptation of the franchise, but is set in its own universe.
The show alternates between two timelines: in 2022, sisters Jade and Billie Wesker move to New Raccoon City for their father’s work, and in 2036, Jade tries to survive the end of the world while Umbrella Corporation conducts a worldwide manhunt for her.
Billie and Jade are fraternal twins who were conceived through suspicious circumstances and are raised by their father, Dr. Albert Wesker; when Albert is given an executive position at Umbrella Corporation, the sisters move to its planned community and slowly uncover Umbrella’s dark legacy.
Fourteen years in the future, the T-virus unleashed by Albert has reduced human civilization to just 300 million refugees who live in walled cities and are surrounded by six billion zombies known as Zeroes.
Netflix began development of the series with Constantin Film in 2019, formally announcing the project the following year. The COVID-19 pandemic delayed production by eight months; when the show finally premiered in July 2022, it received such negative audience reviews that it was canceled after just one season. Even so, it was praised by Rotten Tomatoes for coming closer than previous adaptations to honoring the video games’ complicated lore.
Overall, Siena is recognized as a talented actress with plenty of potential, despite her various projects being cancelled. The Hawaiian is currently signed to Trilogy Talent, AEFH Talent, and Gersh Agency.
Personal Life
With over half a million social media followers across several platforms, Siena has put in years of hard work to cultivate the dedicated fanbase she has today. Between filming, the actress uses her online clout to promote brands, and share glimpses of her life behind the scenes.
Recently, the “Resident Evil” star was called out for claiming to be of Polynesian descent. “I’d hate to think they tried to pass as Indigenous Hawaiian to advance their careers and profit off a marginalized group of people,” one social media user said. As it happens, Siena is half-Ilocano, making her part of the third-largest Filipino ethnolinguistic group in the world.
One netizen claimed that Siena’s genealogy had been checked going back five generations by members of the Hawaiian community, explaining that Native Hawaiians track their heritage extensively because verifying it is the only way to qualify for Hawaiian homesteads, Kamehameha schools, scholarships, and other services.
As of mid-2023, Siena has an estimated net worth approaching $500,000.
