Early life and family
Sean Gregory Grandillo was born 9 December 1992, in Cleveland, Ohio USA, so his zodiac sign is Sagittarius and he holds American nationality. Sean has Polish and Slovak roots through his mother, and English, Irish and Italian through his father. Soon after he was born, his family moved to Aurora, Ohio, so Sean was raised there with his brother named Kyle. He attended Leighton Elementary School, and then matriculated from Aurora High School in 2010. He started studying musical theatre at Ithaca College, but dropped out as he was invited to join the “Spring Awakening” cast in Los Angeles.
In 2014 Sean landed the role of the Voice of Otto in Deaf West Theatre production of “Spring Awakening” – he also appeared on the stages of Wallis Annenberg Center in 2015 and Brooks Atkinson Theatre from 2015 to 2016 with the same production. The musical garnered many awards, including eight Tony’s (Best Musical, Best Book – won by the writer Steven Sater, and Best Score – won by the composer Duncan Sheik, etc.).
Sean debuted as an actor in the short video “Die from a Broken Heart”, in the role of Rick. Later in 2015 he appeared as Cooper in two episodes of “Secrets and Lies:The Jacket” and “The Affair”.

In 2016 he appeared in “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit” as Chris Roberts, and then landed the role of Aaron Lewis in “Madtown”. The same year he played the cobra performer Caleb in “King Cobra”, was cast in the recurring role of Eli Hudson in MTV’s series “Scream” and also landed the role of Miles Brekov in the “ОА” series, appearing in the episode “Homecoming”.
From 2016 to 2017 he was in the regular cast of “The Real O’Neals” as Brett Young.
He proved his developing acting skills, performing the role of Colin Cowher in eight episodes of “Youth & Consequences” in 2018, and the same year also landed the roles of Jeremy Travers in the musical TV series “Rise”, as Scott in “In Reality” (2018), and Charlie Landry in “NCIS: New Orleans”, followed in 2019 by playing Blaine in “Indoor Boys”.
Since his early years, Sean has played various musical instruments, including the guitar, piano and drums. In 2009 he created his YouTube channel, and uploaded his covers for various songs he liked, among them “Oh, Holy Night”, “Satisfied” (Hamilton cover) and “Closer” (originally performed by The Chainsmokers).
Along with David Levitz, in 2014 Sean performed covers of Ariana Grande’s songs “Problem” and “Break Free”; they also covered the song “Latch”, originally performed by the electronic music band Disclosure, and “All Of Me”, the popular song by John Legend. In 2015 Sean released his song “New”, and in 2016 he recorded another song, “Why Is It so Hard to Change”, which was the single from his first EP of the same name.

Sean was once rumored to be gay, as he was often seen with his fellow actors from theatre, such as Jacob Dickey, who is gay. However, Sean always insists that his sexuality is straight.
