Sean’s parents stopped living together in 2006, a year after his younger brother, Jayden James was born. Custody was first shared between both parents, but then Britney refused to give Jayden to his father, and closed up with him in her apartment, after which Sean’s father, Kevin Federline, got sole custody of both sons.

Controversy with his grandfather, James Spears

On 25 August 2019 Sean Preston was taken from his grandfather’s house, where he spent his visiting hours, by the police. The boy claimed he had an argument with his grandfather, and during this argument he locked himself up in his room. His grandfather, James Spears, was reported to be mad at the teenager, and allegedly broke down the door to get into his room. James Spears’ behavior was considered to be unacceptable, and Kevin Federline filed a police report for James’ abusive actions.

Law enforcement reported the incident on 3 September, and the report was followed by a child abuse investigation. Britney was said to be near the house when the incident happened, and sent both of her sons to their father though it was still her custodial visit hours she could use. The court’s decision was strict: both Spears’ and Federline’s sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, were restrained from their grandfather for three years.

Mother, Britney Spears

Sean Preston is the first son of the world famous singer, Britney Jean Spears, born on 2 December 1981 in McComb, Mississippi USA, to Lynne Irene Bridges and James Parnell Spears. When she was eight years old, she travelled to Atlanta, Georgia, for the audition for The Mickey Mouse Club. At first she was rejected by the casting director, Matt Casella, as she was too young, however, she was introduced to a New York talent agent, Nancy Carson, who was so impressed by Britney’s voice that she suggested that she enroll at the Professional Performing Arts School.

Britney Spears

So Britney and her mother moved to New York, and after her successful study in the Arts School, she made it to The Mickey Mouse Club, along with her future boyfriend Justin Timberlake, and such future stars as Christina Aguilera and Ryan Gosling. Later she proved her performing skills, releasing her first album by Jive Records, “… Baby One More Time” on 12 January 1999. Soon after the success of the first album, Britney recorded another one, “Oops!… I Did It Again” (2000). Almost half of the songs from the album reached the top of international charts. In 2001 Britney released her third album “Britney”, and filmed her first movie directed by Tamra Davis, “Crossroads”, in which she played a young singer who pursued her dream to become a professional performer. Later she released four more albums: “In the Zone” (2003), “Blackout” (2007), “Circus” (2008), “Femme Fatale” (2011), and toured around the world with her shows. Her latest albums “Britney Jean” (2013) and “Glory” (2016) were also successful.

Father, Kevin Federline

Sean Preston’s father, Kevin Earl Federline was born on 21 March 1978, in Fresno, California USA, to Julie Story and Mike Federline. His father was an ordinary car mechanic, while his mother was a bank worker, so nobody in Kevin’s family ever thought about a Hollywood career. Kevin moved to his father’s house when he was 11 years old, as his parent divorced when he was eight. Kevin’s brother Chris supported his passion for dancing and encouraged him to attend auditions, but Kevin was not sure he could make it. However, he quit his high school after the ninth grade and began working as a professional dancer as soon as he got his first job offer. He later worked as a back-up dancer in the shows of Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson, Pink, Destiny’s Child, and many others. In 2001 Kevin engaged with Sharisse “Shar” Jackson, an American rapper and performer, who won MTV’s show “Celebrity Rap Superstar” in 2007. They gave birth to their first child, daughter Kori Madison Federline, on 31 July 2002.

At the beginning of 2004, when Shar was pregnant with their second child, Kevin left her to start his relationship with Britney. Her fans were all against their affair, as they didn’t like Kevin, considering him to be a “gold digger”, and a bad person who left his pregnant fiancé right before her giving birth to their second child. When Kevin’s son, Kaleb Michael Jackson Federline was born on 20 July 2004, Britney had already announced her engagement to Kevin. During his relationship with Britney, Kevin boosted his career, as she promoted him to various projects. However, he didn’t gain any success after the couple divorced, as everybody understood he only used her power.

Separation from his mother

On 1 October 2007 the court’s decision separated Sean Preston from his mother, and he was obliged to live with his father along with his younger brother, Jayden, as Britney once refused to give Jayden back to her ex-husband when he came to take him for his visiting hours.

He is still living mostly with his father, as Britney has been undergoing treatment courses in mental health facilities. In 2019 her fans protested near the West Hollywood City Hall to draw the attention of the society. Britney was probably forced to undergo the treatment she didn’t in fact need, although she addressed to her fans through her Instagram, she saying that she wasn’t forced to undergo any kind of treatment, and was totally fine.

New siblings

In 2007 Sean Preston’s father started dating Victoria Prince, a former volleyball player. The couple gave birth to two daughters, so Sean now has two more siblings, Jordan Kay (born on 15 August 2011) and Peyton Marie (born on 7 April 2014). Victoria and Kevin married on 10 August 2013.

Educational background

Nothing is known about Sean Preston’s educational background, as neither Britney nor Kevin ever mentioned him going to school, or taking classes at home in the program of homeschooling.

Career

While Britney and Kevin were still together, they launched a mini-series on MTV entitled “Britney&Kevin: Chaotic”, in which they shared their home routine and highlighted their everyday life. Sean Preston appeared in the mini-series in several episodes while he was a one-year-old child. He also appeared in the documentary “I Am Britney Jean” (2013). He was also filmed for the documentary directed by Paris Hilton Inc, “The Selling of Celebrity” (2007). In 2013, Sean along with his brother Jayden, appeared in her video “Ooh La La” which was a soundtrack for the “Smurfs 2” movie. Both of Britney’s sons played themselves, sitting in the movie and watching their mom singing on the screen where she was magically placed.

Hobbies, favorite things and interesting facts

Little is known about Sean’s hobbies except that he likes swimming, and is keen on various other sports. It is worth mentioning that his parents wanted to name him Sutton Pierce Federline, but right after his birth changed their minds and named him Sean Preston.

Social media presence

Sean Preston doesn’t have any social media accounts at the moment, as probably his family want to keep his life low-key as much as they can. However, his celebrity mother rocks the social media networks with her presence there, as she has 22.7 million subscribers on her Instagram account, 56.3 million readers on her Twitter profile, and around 35 million followers on Facebook. She sometimes posts her photos with Sean and Jayden, sharing their family moments. Sean’s father is far from the popularity of his ex-wife, having only 25,000 subscribers on his Instagram account, on which he also shares the pictures of his kids.

He even posted a photo of all his six children, writing how impressed he was with the number of his kids and with how fast they’re growing up. He also has a Twitter, which is read by less than 5,000 people.

Appearance, clothing style

Sean Preston has light brown short hair and blue eyes; his height, weight and vital statistics are not available at the moment. As to his clothing style, he prefers casual looks and often wears plaid shirts, sporty trousers and casual T-shirts.

Net worth and salary

As he is too young, Sean Preston wasn’t reported to have his own net worth, while his mother has wealth of $215 million, earning up to $40 million per year and having several real estate properties in the Los Angeles area. His father, Kevin Federline, is reported to have a net worth of $6 million.
