Rosabell Laurenti Sellers was born on the 27th March 1996, in Santa Monica, California USA; she is the daughter of Mary Sellers, an actress, and Fabrizio Laurenti, an Italian filmmaker. She has a brother, Diego, who is also an actor. Rosabell spent her early childhood in New York City, but the family moved to Rome, Italy, when she was eight. She’s currently attending Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
Being the child of parents who are deeply into the film industry, it was only a question of time before she would take her first steps towards a career in performing arts. She made her acting debut in the play “Medea” when she was eight years old, performed by the La Mama theater company. After the success of the play in New York, they toured Austria and Poland. The family then settled in Rome, Italy, where young Rosabell started chasing on-screen roles.
Her on-screen debut came in 2006 when she gained a role in the Italian TV mini-series “E poi c’e Filippo”, and continued with Italian television films, such as “L’amore e la Guerra” (2007), and “Coco Chanel” (2008), in which she was Coco when she was 12 years old.
Rosabell continued with Italian productions, such as the romantic comedy film “Ex” in 2009, and the same year she was Anne Frank in the television film “Mi ricordo Anna Frank”, starring next to Emilio Solfrizzi, and Marta Egri.
Rise to Stardom
Rosabell was slowly becoming more popular, and in 2010 she featured in the biopic crime-drama film about Kathryn Bolkovac, “The Whistleblower”, starring Rachel Weisz, Monica Bellucci and Vanessa Redgrave.
The following year, Rosabell was chosen for the part of Mia in the live-action animated comedy series “Mia and Me” (2011-2015), the role which made her famous across the globe.
She continued with fairly successful appearances, such as in Fausto Brizzi’s comedy film “Femmine contro maschi” or “Women Vs. Men” (2011), and in 2012 featured in yet another Italian film, this time the drama “Gil equilibristi” or “Balancing Act”.
After this, she portrayed Valentina Rengoni in the TV drama series “Una Grande Famiglia” from 2012 to 2013, and made a couple more appearances in Italian films, such as the comedy film “Passione Sinistra” (2013) and the drama film “I Nostri Ragazzi” (2014), before she was selected for the role of Tyene Sand in the highly successful “Game of Thrones”.
