Early life, family, educational background
Rachel Bonnetta was born on 8 October 1992, in Toronto, Ontario Canada. From a young age, she knew she wanted to become a journalist, so after matriculating from Clarke High School in Ontario, she enrolled at Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology, and in 2012 graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. She then moved to Los Angeles when she was 23, to pursue her career.
She is very quiet about her personal life, but mentioned her father’s passing on 14 December 2012, and her mom’s remarriage on 18 December 2017, of which she was very supportive. Her mom said that Rachel was a great help on her wedding day, and having her there meant a lot and made the day more special.
Career
Rachel’s first professional job was as a Brand Ambassador for Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, a position she held for three years.
In 2013, YTV’s “The Zone,” hired her as a host, going on to host other television shows such as “The Whip.” She got a job at Major League Soccer (MLS) and hosted two of their shows, “MLS Now” and “Off-Topic,” becoming highly respected, and her ideas would often be taken up. One such idea was the video, “Rachel vs Rachel vs Frankie: MLS Cup Edition.”
Since September 2018, she has been holding her job as Fox Sports Channels’ host for “Lock It In.”

For almost six years she has also managed a YouTube channel, “The Buzzer,” on which she uploads sporting and comedy videos, and viral stories. The channel has just over 5,000 subscribers and has attracted over seven million views overall, but she no longer posts videos regularly on her channel.
Her passions do not end in journalism; she very much enjoys acting as well. When she moved to New York City in 2015, she enrolled in acting classes. Although she greatly enjoys it, she only acts for the fun of it, and not to make it another career path for herself.
Personal life
Since 3 January 2016, she has been in a committed relationship. Sadly – for Rachel’s fans – not much is known about her boyfriend or their relationship. What is known is that the couple is long-distance dating. Rachel made this known when she posted about him on her Instagram page. Her boyfriend, Pete, is in his early 30s. According to her Instagram posts, it appears that Pete and Rachel’s anniversary is on New Year’s Day. On 1 October 2018, she posted a picture of the pair attending a farm-style wedding.
They’ve adopted a dog together.
She is good friends with retired Los Angeles Galaxy soccer player, Frankie Hejduk. In an interview with “World Soccer Talk,” she claimed that Frankie holds a special place in her heart and is one of her favorite people. She also mentioned that he drinks 12 shots of espresso every day. She calls people out for only having wanted to be friends with him before he retired. Rachel now lives in Los Angeles and holds both American and Canadian citizenship.
Hobbies, favorite things and interesting facts
Rachel became famous in 2018 through her 30-minute live broadcast of a FIFA World Cup game in Russia on her Twitter account.
After a visit to India, she opened a GoFundMe page to combat the conditions she saw the people living in. The page accumulated enough donations to put plumbing into a village, clean their drinking water and improve their hygiene. She has been involved with other charitable projects too – Community Rise is a non-profit organization Rachel has worked with, and which she joined with Ghanaian-born MLS players (who are members of the organization) on a trip to Ghana.
One of the players had not seen his family in five years, and she reportedly said that the moment was emotional and heartfelt. The people’s reaction to the player was astonishing, because they all recognized him the moment he arrived and crowded around him. The player was very respected in his community, and Rachel describes their two-week visit as a life-changing experience. She has an extra soft spot for dogs and often posts photos of herself and her dog playing football.
On 19 June 2018 she pranked her fans by posting a photo of her with a baby bump, but later came clean that it was a joke.
Appearance
She is of mixed ethnicity, being part-Italian. She has long brown hair and green eyes. Her height is 5ft 7ins (1.7m), she weighs 125lbs (57kgs), and her vital statistics are 34-25-35, with a slim, fit physique. Her shoe size is a US 8, and her bra size is 32B.
Net worth and salary
According to sources, the FOX Sports host earns a minimum of $60,000 annually. She also makes money for radio and television guest appearances. Her net worth is estimated at $5 million as of early 2020.
