Noa Gray-Cabey was born on the 16th November 1995, in Chicago, Illinois USA; of African-American and European ancestry, he is the son of Whitney Gray and Shawn Cabey.

Noah has three siblings, brothers Nick and Zack, and a sister Bryanna, who are also musicians. Nick plays the viola, Zack is a cellist, and Bryanna a violinist.

Although born in Illinois, he spent his childhood in Newry, Maine. He was given a toy keyboard when he was young, and playing with it aroused a desire for a real piano. A child prodigy, Noah was only four years old when he began what would become a career as a pianist. He went to Paraclete High School, a Roman Catholic college preparatory high school located in Lancaster, California.

He matriculated in 2011, after which he enrolled at Harvard University, but there are no details of his course.

A career as a Pianist

At just four years old, Noah started making live performances, touring across New England and Washington. He would also be a guest in shows “48 Hours” in 2001 and “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” (2002), but before that, having already become the youngest soloist ever to perform with an orchestra at the famous Sydney Opera House. Furthermore, young Noah would also star out at the Queensland Conservatory and the International Convention in Brisbane.

Acting Career and Rise to Stardom

Parallel with his career as a musician, Noah pursued acting, making his debut in 2002 with the role of Franklin Aloysius Mumford in the TV family comedy series “My Wife and Kids” (2002-2005). He appeared in 58 episodes of the award-winning series, giving a huge jump-start to his career.

In 2006 Noah appeared in the fantasy drama film “Lady in the Water”, starring Paul Giamatti, Bryce Dallas Howard and Jeffrey Wright, and was then selected for the part of Micah Sanders, in the TV fantasy drama series “Heroes”. He featured in 29 episodes of the original series, for which he won the Young Artist Award in the category for Best Performance in a TV Series in 2007. He repeated his role in the spin-offs “Heroes Reborn” (2015-2016), and “Heroes Reborn: Dark Matters” (2015).

Noah then looked for more projects, and in 2016 he started portraying Dr. Elliot Dixon in the TV drama series “Code Black”, until 2018, and most recently Noah can be seen as Mason Gregory in the long-running TV crime-drama mystery series “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists” (2019), and is also currently working on the thriller-horror film “Living Dead Presents: Fog City”, in which he will star alongside Luke Benward and Juliette Goglia. The film is currently in post-production.

Noah hasn’t shared much from his personal life, though some information has surfaced. He hasn’t revealed the name of his girlfriend, but he has been in a relationship since 2016, and shared several pictures of the happy couple on social media platforms, including from Amsterdam, Netherlands, for Valentine’s Day.

Noah is very much active on social media platforms, especially Instagram, sharing with fans his latest work, but also some details from his personal life.

Alongside with his parents and siblings, he is a part of the Action in Music organization, which focuses on helping talented children to develop their musical talents, and to perform in other countries. The funds raised through these projects go to hospitals and orphanages in the countries the children perform in.
