Father – Terry Crews

Terry Crews started out aiming for a career in professional American Football. He flourished during his youth, and got a full athletic scholarship to play football for Western Michigan University as a defensive end. He helped the team win the 1988 Mid-American Conference championship and received several accolades. In 1991 he was selected during the 11th round of the National Football League (NFL) Draft by the Los Angeles Rams, however, he only played a few games, never really fulfilling his potential professionally. He decided to retire in 1997, and moved to Los Angeles to pursue another interest, acting.

He started working behind the scenes in independent film projects as a writer and producer. He displayed diligence and a strong drive towards the entertainment industry, despite several relative failures. Eventually he appeared in more minor projects, before getting his breakout role in “Friday After Next”. His popularity would continue to rise over the next few years, as he drew a lot of attention for his roles in “White Chicks” and “The Longest Yard”. One of his most notable roles was as the character Julius Rock in the sitcom “Everybody Hates Chris” which aired for four seasons.

Terry Crews Recent Acting Projects and Other Work

After Crews’ run in “Everybody Hates Chris”, he was given a main role in the TBS sitcom entitled “Are We There Yet?”, which aired from 2010 to 2013. After that show, he joined the ensemble cast of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”, which has been running for over six seasons. He has established a reputation in comedic roles, often playing comedic characters or roles that play-off his physique.

He also showed talent in action films, especially during his work in the recent “The Expendables” film series. Due to his role there, he gained a lot of work in commercials of Old Spice.

He has also done voice work in “American Dad!” and “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2”. He hosted the game show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” for a year, and also hosted the Netflix show “Ultimate Beastmaster”. One of his latest projects is “Deadpool 2”, in which he appeared as the character Bedlam.

Aside from acting, he is skilled in illustration and portraiture – during the early part of his career, he created portraits of fellow football players for extra income. He later started his own design company called Amen&Amen, founded alongside designer Nana Boateng.

He was vocal about many struggles he endured during his life, including a pornography addiction which affected his family life before the family was featured on television.

Personal Life

For her personal life, not much is known in terms of any of Naomi Burton-Crews’ romantic relationships; the consensus is that she is single. Since the end of the reality show, there has not been a lot of coverage her way. The only one among her siblings who has been actively pursuing a career in the entertainment industry is her older sister Azriel who is an aspiring musician and actress hoping to follow in the footsteps of her father.

Apparently Naomi hasn’t yet decided on a career, although she is 30 years old. Her family is known to be devout Christians, and she shares the same viewpoints as her father. Since the end of their show on BET, there has been no new reports about her, so time will tell if she will do anything to warrant the public’s attention once more.
