American screenwriter and actress Cazzie Laurel David was born in Los Angeles, California USA, on 10 May 1994, making Taurus her zodiac sign. She has eight acting and three writing credits, and is perhaps known best for playing Remi in all the eight episodes of the 2017 drama mini-series “Eighty-Sixed”, which also starred Owen Thiele Kristi Lauren, and was created by Cazzie and Elisa Kalani. She was 13 when she made her debut TV series appearance, playing her namesake Cazzie in the 2007 episode “My Best Friend’s Boyfriend” of the musical family comedy “Hannah Montana”, which starred Jason Earles and Miley Cyrus, and was created by Richard Correll. Cazzie portrayed Katie in the 2022 episode “Pancakes” of the comedy “Life & Beth”, which starred Amy Schumer, who also created the series; it follows Beth who’s begun having flashbacks to her teen self, and the series won a 2022 ReFrame Stamp for IMDbPro Top 200 Most Popular TV Titles 2021-2022.
Most recently, in 2022, Cazzie played Jayme Hargreeves in five episodes of the action adventure comedy “The Umbrella Academy”, which starred Aidan Gallagher and Elliot Page, and was created by Jeremy Slater and Steve Blackman. It follows a family of former child heroes who have to reunite if they want to save the world, the series aired from 2019 through 2023 and won 13 of its 67 award nominations.
Roles in movies
Cazzie’s appeared in only two movies. Her debut film role was starring in the 2019 comedy “Half-Empty”, which also starred Veronica Dunne and Soojeong Son, and was directed by Augustine Frizzell. It follows the life of a college senior, but the film failed to attract any attention.
In 2020, she starred as Elizabeth in the short comedy “Stealing Pulp Fiction”, which also starred Chris Barry and Matt Adams, and was written and directed by Danny Turkiewicz; it follows three friends as they’re trying to steal Quentin Tarantino’s personal print of the movie “Pulp Fiction”.

Cazzie has two writing credits: the above mentioned mini-series “Eighty-Sixed”, which she also directed, and the 2019 movie “Half-Empty” – she’s also the writer and director of the upcoming movie “I Love You Forever”.
