Ladd Drummond was born in Nebraska USA, on 22 January 1969, so under the zodiac sign of Aquarius and holding American nationality – he is noted as a rancher, and one of the owners of Drummond Land and Cattle Company, including one of the largest properties in the US.
Childhood and school
Ladd spent his entire childhood alongside his parents Chuck Drummond and Nan Olsen and his two brothers named Todd and Tim. The family lived a part of their life in Oklahoma while Chuck was studying there, and they then moved back to their ranch in Nebraska. Ladd’s older brother Todd died in a car accident when he was 18 years old.
Ladd enrolled at the Pawhuska High School in Oklahoma, and after he matriculated enrolled into Arizona State University, graduating four years later with a bachelor’s degree. He spent many of his early years on the ranch and therefore became familiar with all the work involved, including manual labor, knowing how to operate the machines including how to drive trucks. Ladd launched his career of a rancher soon after he graduated his college. His family inherited the Drummond estate located in Oklahoma – the estate is enormous as it spreads across 675 square miles, and belongs to Ladd, his brother Tim, and their father Chuck. The land they inherited and own together has made the Drummond family the 17th biggest landowner in the entire US – they are currently part of the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association.

They also became businessmen after the opening of their “The Mercantile” restaurant and retain store in the second half of 2016. They first bought a 100 year-old building in Pawhuska in 2012, and renovated it throughout four years. The family has also appeared in the TV series “The Pioneer Woman”, which started in 2011, and counts 15 seasons and 180 episodes all of which aired on the Food Network channel until 2016. While Ladd is said to be an excellent rancher, some of the other ranchers have strongly criticized his skills and his techniques as they do not match those which the other ranchers have been using.
Personal matters and marriage
Ladd is a bit secretive when it comes to his love life, but has still shared a few details regarding his life with his wife Anne Marie Smith. It’s not known where Ladd met Anne Marie Smith, better known as Ree Drummond, for the first time, but it is said that the two met at a country bar and that it took Ladd four months to gather the courage to ask her out on a date. They were dating for several years before exchanging their wedding vows on 21 September 1996 – the thing which differs their wedding from a sea of others is that Ladd left their reception party so that he could watch a basketball match between Arizona State University and Nebraska, but the two subsequently spent their honeymoon in Australia.
They now have four children together – Alex born in 1997, Paige in 1999, Bryce in 2002, and Todd who was born in 2004. Their sons have been taught at home, while daughter Alex goes to the Texas A&M University and Paige attends the University of Arkansas.
