Who is Kim Mathers?
American freelance illustrator Kimberly Ann Scott, also known as Kim Mathers, was actually born as Kimberly Anne Nuggles in Warren, Michigan USA, on 9 January 1975, making Capricorn her zodiac sign. She’s probably known best for her two marriages with famous American rapper and actor Marshall Bruce Mathers III – aka Eminem – who’s widely rated one of the best rappers of all time; he’s also one of the best-selling musicians of all time, and has won 15 Grammys, an Oscar, 17 Billboard Music Awards, and eight American Music Awards.
Education and early life
Kim and her twin sister Dawn were raised in Warren by their mother Kathleen Sluck and stepfather Casimer Sluck, both of whom have passed away; no details have been disclosed about Kim’s biological father, and it’s believed that he abandoned Kathleen before Kim was born.
Kim’s life wasn’t easy from its very start, as she and her sister were often beaten by their alcoholic stepfather, while he also occasionally beat their mother. Kim and Dawn ran away from home in 1988, when Kim was only 13, and lived in a shelter just outside of Denver, Michigan. Kim went on to study at Lincoln High School, which was also where she met Eminem; she and Dawn then moved in with him and his mother Debbie.
It’s widely believed that Kim dropped out of high school aged 16, but this hasn’t been confirmed; others believe that she matriculated in 1993, and then found work to financially support herself, rather than to pursue a college degree.
Kim’s career
Kim worked as a waitress prior to giving birth in 1995, and it’s believed that she only began working again after her and Eminem’s second divorce; she’s today working as a freelance illustrator.
Love life and two marriages with Eminem
Kim gave birth to her and Eminem’s daughter Hailie Jade Scott on 25 December 1995, and she’s sung about in a number of Eminem’s songs. The child brought problems into the relationship, as Kim and Eminem struggled financially; he worked as a waiter while also remaining focused on working on his way up in the rap industry. Kim and Eminem broke up when Hailie was a year old, but reunited and married on 14 June 1999, but the two again had issues and divorced in 2001. Yet again, in 2003 the two reunited and married in 2006, but divorced only three months later.
Kim’s been with several other men and has other children. She cheated on Eminem with another man in 2001, and was in 2002 in a relationship with criminal Eric Harter, who’s today a fugitive; Kim gave birth to their daughter Whitey in 2002. Kim and Eric often used drugs together, and she once spent a month behind bars for being in possession of illegal substances.
Eminem’s also dated a couple of other women, including the late American actress and singer Brittany Anne Murphy-Monjack and famous American singer-songwriter and actress Mariah Carey.
Kim seems to be unattached as of June 2023, was married to Eminem twice and has a daughter with him, as well as another daughter with former boyfriend Eric Harter; Kim has another daughter and a son, but the name/s of their father/s hasn’t/haven’t been disclosed.
Suicide attempts and mental health problems
Kim’s been struggling with depression since her teenage years, and has tried to take her own life several times. In 2001, after hearing Eminem perform a song about her at a concert, she ran home from the event and cut her wrists in the bathtub, was rushed to a hospital, and spent some time in a mental health clinic.
She’s attempted suicide several times since her and Eminem’s second divorce, including when she drove her car into a pole in 2015; she’s revealed that Eminem’s always been there for her, and that he’s often been able to help her cope with these suicidal thoughts.

Interesting facts and hobbies
Kim’s occasionally invited to give motivational speeches, and she mostly speaks about drug addiction and how one can overcome it, although apparently still having problems herself.
She’s followed by more than 800 people on Instagram, but has posted only three pictures, with the most recent having been uploaded in August 2017.
Kim owns a house in Macomb Township, Michigan, which Eminem purchased for her.
She’s a lover of animals and has several pet dogs and cats.
Kim was once passionate about travelling, and toured around the US with Eminem when the two were married for the first time; she’s been to nearly all of the US states.
Angelina Jolie is one of her favorite actresses, and some of her favorite movies include “Salt”, “Wanted” and “The Tourist”.
