Born Kathryn Titus Gorney in Grass Lake, Michigan USA, on 28 January 1945, she grew up on a farm, but from an early age, started showing an interest in the performing arts, especially ballet, and so enrolled into a ballet class when she was just four years old.
At the same time, she began attending singing and acting classes. As she got older, Kate became more proficient as a dancer, and joined the Ann Arbor Civic Ballet Company. She attended Georgia Washington University, from which she obtained a degree in liberal arts.

She made her acting debut in 2002 with a minor role in the film “Tattoo, a Love Story”, starring Megan Edwards, Virgil Mignanelli, and Benjamin Burdick, but only returned five years later with a role in the short film “Bed Head” (2007), and then in 2008 featured in the drama film “Twelve”. Born Todd Joseph Miller on the 4th June 1981 in Denver, Colorado, USA, he’s the son of attorney Kent Miller, and his wife, Leslie Miller, who is a clinical psychologist. His mother is Jewish, while his father a Christian, though T.J. now declares as an atheist. He has very mixed ancestry – English, Scottish, German and Swedish roots from his father’s side, while through his mother he’s of German-Jewish, Russian-Jewish, and Austrian-Jewish descent.
He matriculated from East High School, and then enrolled at George Washington University, from which obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. During his university years, T.J. was a member of the comedy group named receSs, and studied circus arts at Frichess Theatre Urbain in Paris. Miller switched Washington for Chicago once he finished his college education, and joined a few improv comedy troupes. He was in The Second City for two years, and it was in 2008 that he gained exposure, with Variety naming him one of 10 Comics to Watch. The same year, T.J. made his acting debut in the sci-fi horror thriller “Cloverfield” (2008), starring Mike Vogel, Jessica Lucas, and Lizzy Caplan. Since then, T.J. has proven himself in various fields of the entertainment industry, as an actor, writer, and comedian.
He’s written two comedy specials – “T.J. Miller: No Real Reason” (2011) and “T.J. Miller: Meticulously Ridiculous”. He’s also known for playing Erlich Bachman in the TV series “Silicon Valley” (2014-2017), and as the voice of Fred in the animated film “Big Hero 6”, among numerous other accomplishments.
